I thought Bruno Mars was entertaining. I heard he didn't get paid but tickets for his shows go on sale today...smart move!

Nope! And I thought the RHCP were a bit creepy (I used to love them though).

I don't really like his songs (in fact I always change the station when they come on)...but I surprisingly enjoyed the half time show!

I thought it was a great half time show! Could've done without the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I thought it was just fine. Nothing spectacular, but a solid performance.

I thought Bruno Mars rocked it! RHCP were eh. I found it to be a weird combo.

I'm with @littlebit - not usually a fan of his but actually enjoyed the show! The only thing that was odd was realizing the RHCP are 50 years old! 50!

i think burno mars is a great performer, i don't love all his music, but he is extremely talented. i love RHCP and they can do no wrong in my eyes it did feel short though and i wish RHCP played longer

I thought it was pretty entertaining. LO danced to it in front of our friends.

I thought he did good, I was unimpressed with RHCP...and I like them!

I think he's a good entertainer but I don't love his music. Didn't care for the RHCP though!

@Weagle: agreed!
I liked it way more than recent shows but I definitley wish there was more RHCP.

It felt short and I would have liked to see a lot more of RHCP.

I really liked Bruno Mars but wasn't a fan of the RHCP. My friend got a text 5 minutes after the halftime show that his tickets were going on sale this week here.

I loved it! I wanted it to be longer. LO loved it, too. I am a fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers but this was not their time. More Bruno, less RHCP.

@Weagle: @Mrs. Jump Rope: Agreed.
And I also rolled my eyes when I saw memes online about how they rocked the Super Bowl without twerking. He did open up with Locked Out of Heaven…which is actually a rather dirty song that I'll change the radio station because of. Those lyrics are just as sexual as twerking (and less hilarious) IMO.

I loved it! Bruno Mars is super talented and I liked that it had some flashy parts to it (fireworks and a neat stage) but it wasn't over-the-top with effects to take away from his talent. It felt like a classic performance. I like RHCP but I thought their part was a little meh.

We didn't watch since we were in the middle of dinner at my husband's boss' house- but we got a full report back on it from C and the two sons of one of my husband's co-workers. It was hilarious to watch a group of 2, 8, and 10 year old boys mimic the exact dance moves! I wish I had gotten a video of it, they were adorable!

Bruno Mars and his band are very entertaining. I don't seek out his music, but I really like his live shows.

I didn't get to see it! We had to drive home from our friends' house to get DS to bed. I heard a lot of people say it was great though.

I thought it was ok. I generally think they go on for too long so this one was better in that respect.

@indi: @mrs. bird: I had never listened to that song and wasn't sure I was hearing it correctly! All I could think about was how I wouldn't want any little kids around me while he's belting out those lyrics. And then I felt like a olllllllld, cranky woman! I read this quote from him in an interview where he clarified that by saying "water" in that song, he means "as in da pussay leche."

@mrs. bird: @Happygal: I know! I'm only 26, and I'm definitely not some prude, but I can't imagine letting little kids jam out to that song. I'd rather explain twerking as a dance to my kids (and show them how, since I can rock it better than Miley even while pregnant ) but filthy lyrics are just not cool with me.
And really, "da pussay leche"?! "It's just fucking poetry, whether you believe me or not." I'm going to go with not.

@Weagle: @mrs. bird: Agreed
I'm not a big Bruno Mars fan, but I love any excuse to see RHCP! That being said, I thought it was a solid halftime show.

I now know who Bruno Mars is, lol. I've heard his music, and recognize the name, but never saw them together. Now I have, so there's that. I thought he was good, but ditto to the others who wanted more RHCP and thought it was short.
