I'm 4 months PP and have horrible horrible stretch marks all on the front of my tummy. I didn't get them anywhere else, they are still purple and hideous. How long do they take to fade??

Im not sure about the purple ones.. I have a few white stretch marks that aren't too noticeable. I had some before I got pregnant though..
I don't expect mine to ever go away

I was once told that if you got stretch marks in puberty, you'll get them in pregnancy. I remember having one or two purple stretch marks with my daughter, and they did go away (I don't remember when, but I don't have them now). But, what was horrible was having my son. After two babies, I feel like I don't have a stomach, it is a stretch mark party that all the stretch marks that ever lived and will ever live, have been invited to and attended. HA! Extended metaphor aside, I remember it took awhile with my daughter, maybe more like 8 months or so. But I can't remember. I hope they go away soon

I have them on my hips, tummy, thighs, and even my calves! I am three months pp and they haven't faded at all.

Had deep horrible purplish red ones all over with my first. By 2 years later they were all white. Mine were really deep so they're still noticeable, but at least they're white and not that horrible purple color.

I got brutal stretch marks with my first pregnancy, and then an umbilical hernia with my second.
They have ruined my tummy forever. Adorable little things.

I have horrible stretch marks from my chest all the way down my torso, hips , thighs and back of my knees. I have my twins to thank for that. They have not faded much.

Yes, especially in my last two months! I asked the doctor if these were broken blood vessels and she said, "no those are stretch marks, and they are here to stay."
And stay they did...i am no longer depressed about them but i cant wait until they fade away completely.

I lucked out with stretch marks. Everyone says that if your mom has it then you will too. My mom has stretch marks so I was worried. I religiously used belly cream when I was pregnant with both of my boys and, I guess, it helped.

My stretch marks didn't come until the very end of my pregnancy. My LO just turned a year and they're still here..... but they are fading. It's just taking awhile.
