I'm realizing I never needed a diaper bag and I hate lugging these around! I've never done a diaper change in public and the only thing I ever pull out of my diaper bag is my wallet.
Does anyone just carry a regular bag and maybe a diaper?

I still use mine. It's not unusual for us to go out for long periods of time on the weekends, so I pack everything and take it all.

I use a zipping tote bag for it now, but I do generally still bring it. Diapers, snacks, epi pens, winter hat.... it all kind of adds up. I occasionally will just put diaper and wipes in the back of my SUV and take the epi pen in my purse

More than ever! Less for diapers and more for snacks/cups/toys. I always have a couple quiet toys and a board book because I never know when I am going to need to occupy her.

Mine's still going strong 17 months in. I quite like that I have a separate bag with all of her stuff, so if I want to take my own hand bag if I'm not going somewhere with her, I just throw my purse in there and I'm done.

I stopped carrying a diaper bag pretty early on, I transitioned to a diaper wallet and never looked back.
Potty training though, required a bag, because I'd need to have a pair of pants, underwear, a washcloth and a wet bag. Sometimes even shoes/socks!

I still use ours, but mostly it carries snacks, some toys, books, a couple diapers, etc.

@looch: This.
With one kid who isn't potty training and rarely had blowouts, I didn't need anything beyond a diaper clutch and a straw cup. But when she started potty training and had a little sibling I definitely needed a big bag

For sure! We go out for long periods of time and I definitely do diaper changes in public. Plus I need toys, drinks, snacks etc. I don't have a car so maybe that makes the difference?

I use the skiphop pronto quite a bit or just some wipes and diapers, and a snack and sippy cup in my purse. Granted my most-used purse is a MC Wallace Kate, which is a diaper bag.

@daniellemybelle: Yes to this!
I still use ours even now at 2.5. My LO is still in diapers with no end in sight, but I pack it more full of toys, books, snacks, etc.

@elise626: We only carry around our skip hop pronto. I love that thing! I put a extra set of clothes, 3-4 diapers, wipes, and some misc stuff in the front zipper pouch. I don't carry a purse either.

We are always gone for long periods of time so I always have my diaper bag. If we plan to be gone all day then I even throw a bag in my car with extras.

If we're just running to the store, then no. But we still go out for long periods of time and definitely take the bag full of toys, snacks, and a diaper or two. DS is 2.

I stopped around 15 months and DD got a kid backpack that we keep diapers (or spare clothes in now that she's potty trained) and it has snacks, her sippy cup, and her blankie if we are going to be away for awhile. I hated carrying a diaper bag with a passion!

LO will be 3 in May and I still use it frequently, but we do go on a lot of outings. Even though she's potty trained I use it to carry an extra change of clothes, disinfectant wipes, snacks, sippy cups, etc.

Haha, as you can see from my posts I just hate baby gear apparently! Don't want to use the stroller, don't want to carry a diaper bag...I'm trying to figure out how to get my process down to just grabbing him and walking out the door!

I have a two year old and a four year old (both potty trained), so while I don't NEED it anymore, I still use it a lot! Changes of clothes, milk, wipes, toys, etc. I guess I'm a creature of habit!

Yeah we still really need it!! Usually when we go out we stay out of the house for a while. I always like having everything just in case. Now that he's 1 we need MORE stuff. Toys, snacks, sippy cup, etc. We'll probably use our diaper bag for a while!
