I looked at Baby 411, Consumer Reports, Amazon and any other website review I could find. Then I thought about what the reviews said. So many of the negative amazon ones can be discarded because the reviewer either didn't understand the stated purpose of the product and thought it would do more or had some other minor issue that caused them to rate it really poorly because they were upset.

I disagreed with even Consumer Reports on some things... so it really involved having a critical eye to what was being said and how the research was conducted.

Ultimately the best help in making the decision was for me to go see/touch/feel the product if possible. That way I could get a pretty good gut feeling about it, especially when I kept the reviews in mind

@Coco Bee: Can you and your hubs go on a trip to the City one day over an upcoming weekend so that you can see more? I just feel like you really want to be happy with the crib you get and it's been really hard to determine which one you are going to like

I looked at both, and didn't have any conflicts. Good luck making decisions- it's so hard to pick baby gear! It's all so expensive so you never want to make bad decisions.

I research the heck out of everything and then make my decision based on a mixture of reviews/word of mouth/ and just my own personal preference. I know how you feel though! It's such a big purchase that you want to make sure you get the right one for you! I had a hard time deciding on window curtains so I can imagine it'd be hard deciding on a crib!
