Where did you register? Was it online or in a store? There is a cloth diaper store in my city, but none of my family is local. I don't know where else I could register for diapers. Or should I just buy them myself?

What kind of diapers will you be using? Buy Buy Baby sells BumGenius in store and online and you can use 20% off coupons on them! That's where I registered.

I did not, because we switched to cloth when DD was/is 2 (last month). I have some on my registry for DD2, but more for me to buy with the completion discount!
If it's a type that's easily bought on Amazon, you could add there. Or because they have a universal registry, you could add diapers from any website to your Amazon registry, and it'll take the purchaser to the off-Amazon site to purchase.
from what I have seen, Nicki's Diapers has a really good selection, I also like Kelly's Closet and diaperjunction.

I did, for a few different types so I could try them out before I made a commitment. But I only got 1 pair, they are pretty much the only thing left on my registry!

I used BabyList and added diapers from places like Thanks Mama and etsy (for wool covers). You can add things from other websites to an Amazon list, too. I'm so glad I did, because I got pretty much my entire stash as gifts!

I registered for diapers on amazon too and was happy with it. I also liked baby list but it was trickier for things that came from local boutiques.

@Leialou: I registered at a local store that has on line purchasing available. I am hopeful that some of our family members will buy them for our shower but otherwise we will probably just end up buying them ourselves

No way. We got enough grief from the few people we told we were planning to cloth diaper. I didn't want to hear it from everyone invited to my shower. We were very much in the minority among our friends and family.

I didn't register for diapers, but I mentioned to the host that it was something people could get me. A few people did buy me some covers, but I ended up buying most of them myself.

I registered for them at Buy buy baby, but i was the only one that ever purchased them. I would buy one every couple of weeks through out my pregnancy and my mom bought us a bunch during the BumGenius Seconds sale. I have recently started seeing BG in Babies R Us too

@Leialou: I bought BG diapers on black friday last year for a great deal. I don't know how my friends and family feel about cloth diapers so if I put them on my registry, I don't think many would understand them. But... I'm pretty stocked right now on my CD supply so I don't need diapers. I do have certain brands that I want to get to add to my stock (kissaluvs), I might add them to my registry and see if anyone buys them for me. Also, there's a lot of other supplies (like detergent, lotions, accessories) that are CD related but not unique to CD, so my friends can get those items for me.
Oh, I will find an cloth diaper rental service and see if any of my friends or family will gift me that.
ETA: My family is not local either, so my registry will probably be Amazon or Baby-r-us (oh, and Target). I'm leaning towards mostly Amazon because I think a lot of my friends and fam have Amazon prime. Free shipping!

I registered for covers only and only received one. I bought most of mine (both before baby and after when I changed what I used).
