Growing up, I rode on my bike everywhere with my brother... we would bike for miles and miles. There used to be these things called "book stores" where you could buy printed copies of ebooks (aka "books"). We would bike to every bookstore within miles, and check out their books and magazines (these were like books, but they came out monthly).

Looking back, I loved loved loved my bike growing up! I think the kids in our generation won't have nearly as much freedom to just bike around while they're young... it makes me sad. Maybe they will just stay home and download apps onto their iPads? Gotta admit that if that was an option for me growing up, I wouldn't have felt nearly the urge to leave the house!

Did you ride your bike a lot growing up? Will you let your kid bike around as much as you did?
