I'm keeping most of it. There's a few things that I don't have to have either because I don't love it and we already have a lot in that size clothes, or LO didn't love it because she had something like it similar but better. So I'll give that to the next family member who gets pregnant.

But for the most part I want to keep everything for baby #2. If we have a boy, I'll be giving away a lot more because right now LO has lots of pink!

Well since we lived in a 1 bedroom for DD1's first year, we Craigslisted a lot of baby gear. I kept a bunch of her nice girlie clothes though and thank goodness I did because we were blessed with DD2 3 years later!!

I do buy DD2 some new stuff though from time to time because they were born at opposite seasons. I also was "Team Green" the second time, so I registered for some gender neutral newborn stuff prior to her birth.

Just like you, I'm addicted to buying and selling used baby gear. It's easy in NYC because so many other parents are in the same boat as us (not having a lot of storage space).

I was just talking to DH about this the other day since the amount of things we are storing is getting out of control!! We still don't know if we're having #2 or not so I think we should just stop keeping everything already. I have given a few things away to my cleaner, though, because she asked if I was willing to donate anything to her granddaughter.

Gear we kept gender neutral with the intent of re-using it for #2. Then, we decided to move 3,000 miles across the country so we gave a lot of it to a friend who was expecting. We kept the infant seat & stroller and that's about it.
DD's clothes went to a cousin who had a girl, then were passed to my brother & SIL who had a girl and are now coming back to us for DD#2!
My cousin has given us a lot of their things like a swing and pack 'n play and we purchased a few items so it's coming together.

We are team green for our LO (our first) so all of our basic stuff will be easy to re-use, and we have a ton of storage in our house, so we plan on keeping it all for LO#2!

I think we will keep all the big ticket items. Clothing I have saved and thought about reusing it, but if we have a girl the gender neutral stuff is still slightly boyish. Either way I'm saving DS clothing from the first year or so and using it to make a quilt. I think we will sell things after the second baby because ideally we would be happy with 2.

We saved all of my son's clothing and gear in preparation for #2. But now that we found out #2 is a girl, I'll probably save the clothes for when my brother has kids or give some away to friends. Most of the gear I bought were gender neutral so they work for boy or girl, with the exception of the crib bedding.

We're lucky to have some storage space so we stored most of it. We lent out a lot of stuff and just got most of it back. I also just gave away most of Wagon Jr.'s clothes to 3 different couples who either just had a boy, are about to have a boy, and have a boy just a little younger than Wagon Jr.

We kept everything for the second. We didn't acquire too much stuff luckily. LO is already phasing out some of the stuff and I can't wait to either sell or give away. She wears some of her older brother's hand me downs so sometimes she's dressed like a boy.

@artbee: We had an agreement, but people get busy and I quickly decided that it wasn't worth losing any sleep over.

We've kept everything for now. Except we are selling the crib set seeing we are opting for white furniture for baby girl.

The stuff we have already is gender neutral. Play mat, bumboo, excerciser... so we are good about that. I'm just waiting to see what my sister is having to ship her the boy clothes. If not I'm giving it all to my other sister. (who isn't preggers yet0
