Just as the title says - did you throw up at any point during your labour? I'm scared of it!! I know a lot of women are worried about pooping when they push, I couldn't really care less about that, I just HATE HATE HATE throwing up, and don't want to at all!!

Yes, twice. Both during transition and the only time I threw up the entire pregnancy.

No but I did think I might at one point. I remember saying I felt sick but I ended up being fine.

Yes and no. I only threw up when the midwives encouraged me to try using gas before getting the epi. The gas is well known for making people queasy and sure enough, it made me throw up. I stopped using it immediately and felt fine a minute later. I'm pretty sure had I not used the gas, I would not have thrown up.
I voted yes in your poll though since I technically did, even though it had nothing to do with actually being in labour!

Yes, it was right after we got to hospital. I have no idea why, it just came out of nowhere! I hate throwing up too, but after suffering with two stomach bugs and morning sickness all the way through pregnancy, I was kind of used to it!

Every contraction I had a bucket nearby because I thought I was going to throw up but I never did! I almost wished I had though and been done with it.

I voted yes but I did with my first but not with my second. I thought I would the second time and I needed to but I held it in since I was in the hospital elevator at that precise moment!

PS if I could pick between the vomiting and the painful contractions I was having at that point, I'd vomit all day long!!

Yes, maybe 3 times. It was terrible!

I threw up twice. It wasn't fun but it was when my contractions were crazy (pre-epidural) so it was the least of my troubles at that moment. I think it was just the force of contractions that made me throw up. The nurse just held up a tray to me mouth and I threw up in there, lol.

Once I started pushing I threw up every time until my stomach was empty. It made me feel better though!

Yes, but my husband insisted we stop at a fast food place to get dinner on the way to the hospital (it was an induction, he wasn't THAT inconsiderate!). Wasn't the best idea.

I did not which surprised me. I threw up during my mc, so I thought I'd throw up during labour too.

Yes, I was holding the baby about 15 min after she was delivered and just looked at my husband and said take the baby. Threw up all over my lap. I think it was because I drank too much water too soon after the delivery. I was soooo thirsty.

Nope. Thought I was going to but I don't think there was enough in my belly! Missed dinner and was in labor until 3 pm the next day!

Yes, but I think it was from the meds. It was only once a little while after they broke my water.

Nope. Never once during pregnancy or labor or delivery.
I didnt start throwing up until well into the first year. It has happened a couple of times and i haveno idea why because before this i went almost 10 years without doing it.

Yes, both times it was when the Dr. came in. I'm not sure if it was something about trying to sit up more and answer that stirred things up.

Nope. I did feel a little queasy at times but never actually puked.

Twice. Second time put me over the edge and was because I took vitamins with nothing else. What was I thinking? ! First time was a banana. Basically the only things I ate came back!

Yes...it was during transition. The pain was so intense that throwing up was nothing compared to what I was feeling. Had I gotten the epidural sooner, I probably wouldn't have and I didn't with my second labor.

No, but I did feel extremely nauseous during transition and I remember saying to the nurses that I thought I was going to throw up. I didn't but I usually have a pretty strong stomach as I have a puking phobia and try to will myself not to!

Once----after I delivered. I was back in the room and I could sip on water and I threw up right when LO was breastfeeding for the first time. Sigh.

Yes. It felt pretty good afterwards because I had been really queasy.

Um yes. A lot, starting when active labor started. I even threw up in the hospital parking lot. It stopped once I got the epidural, and started up again when it wore off. At one point there was an assembly line of my support people passing them down to the bathroom, rinsing them out and bringing them back.
It was absolutely miserable, and afterwards, I was scared to try eating anything at all. The only bright spot was the nurse told me it was helping move the baby down.
ETA: I'm an exception, I think. My L&D nurse and the OB on call both said they'd never seen anyone in labor throw up as much as I did. I'm just lucky I guess! I also was sick all the way through my pregnancy.

Yes, during transition- they said it was fairly common. I ate once we figured out I was in labor before heading to the hospital since I wasn't sure when I would get the chance to eat again. Labor went so fast that it wouldn't have mattered for me to eat anyway and my body probably didn't want to eat all day for that reason.
They gave me anti-nausea meds which helped a lot. Really it wasn't a big deal, I'd thrown up for most of the pregnancy anyway, so another time or two didn't matter.
