We went on vacations at least once a year. My Dad traveled for work so he had airline and Marriott points. Score!

Yes! We went on vacation at least a few times a year.
We're leaving in the morning to go on a mini-vacation with my parents

We went all the time. We had a few annual vacations- a long weekend of camping at Disney and skiing during spring break. Then we'd always do something over the summer, and little shorter weekend vacations here and there.
I wish I could afford to do this stuff with LO, but so far we've only really done camping and little trips. Her only plane ride has been NY and that's because my sister had her wedding there.

not really. my mom was a single parent with 3 small children, but she did her best. i'd say at least every other year we'd go somewhere, even if it was just for a 3 day weekend. but we went to FL to visit her aunt like once every 4 years.

Hardly ever and when it happened, it was to visit family. I'm hoping we can do yearly family vacations with our LOs.

i'm not sure what would be a lot, but we usually went for a week to the beach in the summer (drove & rented a house) and somewhere new during april vacation (plane rides involved) and a few shorter trips during the year & time on the cape with my dad's family. i think of it as a lot, but i had friends growing up that went away a lot more & went on more exotic vacations.

We did a lot of local camping trips, and every summer we'd go visit grandparents in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Once we were a little older, we started having bigger spring break trips--Disney world one year, Hawaii, Washington DC, etc. I think my parents waited until we were older for the big trips because (1) they were more financially secure, and (2) we were old enough to appreciate, enjoy, and actively participate in the trips. We began those when my youngest brother was around 8 years old--so no need to worry about diapers, naptimes, etc.

OMG - YES! YES! YES! And I loved it!!! We went to Vegas at least 4x a year, then every summer, my parents took us out of the country based on the previous year's curriculum so that we could see things in real life (like the year I took humanities, we went to Europe), then we went on other vacations in between because my dad traveled a lot while he worked so we got free hotel, or went camping. I love camping!

Unfortunately we did not, but DH traveled a lot with his family. My parents were always busy working and didn't even take the evening off to attend my high school graduation. I want the opposite for my family and hoping to take trips yearly.
