My DH is kind of driving me insane. I actually had to have a talk with him the other night about his obsessive version of nesting. I think the poor guy is anxious about baby arriving in a few weeks and doesn't know what to do with himself. So he has resorted to being completely obsessed with our basement.
Our basement is unfinished and he's on his third or fourth straight night of vacuming every square inch of it (seriously, it's probably been two cumulative hours of vacuuming and the vacuum's going again now). He's also taken multiple loads of stuff we were storing down there to the dump. And he can't stop talking about a little bit of mold that's growing in our cold room. I can't quite express how obsessive he's being.
The other night when he told me he needed me to go through some boxes I got kind of upset and told him that while I have a very long to do list at the moment, going through boxes in the basement ranks way below absolutely everything else.
So basically he's latched onto something that has absolutely nothing to do with the baby's arrival and won't stop talking/thinking/doing down there. I'm trying to be sympathetic and understand that this is just his way of dealing, but he's driving me NUTS!
Anyone else's DH find weird ways of dealing with baby's imminent arrival???
