My BIL and his FI were wonderful and bought us sooo many meals after we got home from the hospital. I can't wait to return the favor in a few months!
Other family members and friends also brought us food and groceries!

My mom food shopped for us, and my grandmother brought a lot of cooked food over the first 1-2 weeks. I still didn't feel up to eating a ton though (pregnancy aversions!) so I stuck with mainly snacks and carbs.

My mom actually brought over a ton of Chinese soups that are supposed to be good for milk production. I am usually kind of skeptical of this stuff, but I really wanted to be successful at bf, so I said what the heck, I need all the help I can get.. I think it worked! DH seemed very jealous since most of them were actully pretty tasty.

Not really. We've only had one friend bring us by a meal. LO is almost 4 weeks now. We've had people bring us pies and sweets. I was surprised more people didn't offer to bring us food.

My mom and sister stayed with us for two weeks and my in-laws came for 3 weeks a couple of weeks later. Meals were covered for 2 months!

My church arranged a week of meals for us both times, and my mom and sister in law gave us some freezer food. So amazing, I always try to cook for people now that I've seen how great it is.

Our church had meals coming for us for almost 7 weeks, three times a week... We felt so blessed by it!

My mom cooked us a ton of food after the kids were born, but FIL helped prepare a lot of our freezer meals while I was still pregnant. It was a big help, and I didn't have to cook either time for like 3 months postpartum!

So much food... so many carbs! It's the reason I started GAINING weight after losing baby weight! I was actually kind of relieved when it stopped and we could get back to normal.
I'm definitely going to return the favor to friends having babies, but I'm going to focus on making them healthy meals and not the casseroles and pastas that everyone else makes!

None whatsoever. They did bring us a cake and flowers that we all ate when they first visited, which was nice of them. They have never brought us any real food. They don't even doggy bag food. BIL is so sweet though, he always bakes us some goodies, so it kinda makes up for not getting anything else from his fam

We came home to a pot roast in the crock pot waiting for us and tons of fresh muffins/salads/groceries in the fridge. Our friends even cleaned the house and decorated for us

Our church family organized for us to have dinner brought to our house every evening for almost 2 weeks.
