LO 1- yes! Lots of colds/viruses/bronchiolitis/pneumonia and more, time off work, breathing treatments, antibiotics and doctor visits the first year.
LO 2- just a few times...whew!

Yep! He was sick all the time (and so were we)!!! Now that he's been there a year, I hoping for less illnesses all around!

Mainly just colds (congestion, sneezing, coughing). And of course the resulting ear infections. She hasn't gotten anything worse than that yet--no RSV, HFM, strep, pink eye, etc. *knock on wood*

The first year was the worst. I think that LO and I went to the doctor about 6 times. This past year hasn't been as bad. He's had the sniffles here and there. His ear infection took me by surprise because he'd been healthy for a long time.

Not a lot. She has a good immune system so we just lucked out I guess.

Not yet...she's been in full-time daycare for about 6 weeks now, but I think maybe she started at a good time because it was after cold/flu season, and also she's in a home daycare so there are only five kids.
I'm preparing for a brutal winter with lots of colds though

He started in April last year and hardly ever got sick. I thought we really lucked out. Then this winter hit and he was sick a LOT. Ear infection, strep infection, respiratory infection, and HFM. Ugh. It was like the never-ending illness.

Nope, but we lucked out. She is in a home daycare and is the only full time kiddo

Yup! Every month, he comes home with something and shares it with mommy. 1st month there (October), he caught RSV. A couple months later, he caught the flu. In between and recently, a cold. He also had an upper respiratory infection last month, that the entire family caught and am still trying to recover from! He also constantly has a runny nose and drainage cough.
Hoping year 2 at daycare goes better!

Yes. She gets sick at least twice a month, and was sick the entirety of last month. I hate it!

Nope, I was so worried, but she's generally been a pretty healthy kid. She's in an in home so it's a smaller number of kids so I think that helps.

@autumnlove: this makes me feel better! LO #1 got sick all the time... and I am just bracing myself for LO #2, who just started on Monday! But maybe he won't get sick as much since he's already been exposed to all sorts of germs that his big sis brought him from daycare.

Hahahahhahahahaha. She was sick for 15 months after starting daycare.

Yes. *sigh* But now that we are almost 8 months in (she started at 13 months), it is getting so much better!
