My 2.5 year old has started this thing where she screams or yells if her sister has a toy she wants, doesn't get her way, etc. I mean it is LOUD and it drives me insane. Did anyone else go through this with their LO? Any tips to get it to stop? I feel like I've tried everything and I'm getting frustrated.

Yes, like a shrieking phase! It was closer to 1.5 I think. We just kept telling her "I don't know what you want, show me what you want" and similar things... She eventually just stopped being amused by it.

My boys shriek at each other. It is a little maddening. Mostly when they aren't getting their way. I hope it passes soon.

Yep, about the same age too. I think I might have posted about it. She'll still do it at 3.5, not as often though.

Just came here to ask about the same thing with my 2.5 year old. All of the sudden if something doesn't go his way, he just totally loses it and screams bloody murder. So no advice, but we're there too

I saw this yesterday, but didn't comment. My LO is 2.5 years old and loves to scream. He's definitely going through a screaming phase especially around bedtime. When he gets timed out, he screams now loudly instead of just crying and begging for us to return.

Um, right there with you. Basically all day long. He has been sick and hasn't been eating or sleeping well and I think he is on edge from that...but wow is it awful
