Never over night. During the day, yes!

Yup! I know I was in high school the first time they left us alone while they went away. My brother is a year older & he was there too. Neither if us could drive yet though. My grandma stopped by a few times to check in on us. I guess it's probably a good thing to get left on your own a few times before you move out & go to college, but teenagers just seem so young & irresponsible it's hard to imagine actually doing it!

yep... we were latch key kids so we stayed home alone every day from 3rd? grade on? we lived in a townhome community and a lot of our friends did that... and we kind of just baby sat each other.

my parents didn't leave us overnight until we were in hs though

not overnight that I remember...

but I only remember being babysat mayber 1-2x in my life. I had two older siblings so we all just stayed home together and my parents would call to check in.

Never overnight! But during the day they were fine leaving me alone for a few hours.

Not overnight, but several times during the day...until my brother decided to cut his own hair under my watch.

I stayed home alone during the day a lot when I was a kid. I went to a babysitter until I was in grade 3, but after that I stayed home alone all the time, even in the evenings sometimes.

When I was in high school my parents would leave on vacation for a week at least once a year and I would be all by myself for the whole week. I had to look after myself and my 2 cats.
