Did your parents to go your school back to school nights, open houses, PTA meetings, competitions, games, etc?
My mom did but my dad was never too interested!

They came to watch me cheer & mom would go on FCCLA trips with me, but as for PTA she wasn't involved. It was more the activities I was involved in.

My mom was super involved. She even became the president of the State PTA and the president of the State School Board for a few years. She's still really involved, and her youngest graduated high school 8 years ago!

My mom did everything with us school related. My dad worked second shift so he never was able to. But once a year during volleyball season (I played volleyball in school) he would take a week off and sit and watch me practice and come to a game. He did what he could with his hours! But I don't think my mom missed a single game, bless her soul!
Right now my little brother and sister are in high school and my sister is playing softball and volleyball, and my brother play baseball. They have 2-3 games per week, and still to this day she has never missed a game yet. She wins mom of the year award for sure!

Both my parents worked corporate jobs when I was in elementary school so they didn't do much with PTA/open house/etc. Once I was in high school my dad owned his own business and my mom didn't work, so they attended the functions that pertained to me like orchestra concerts and my dance team performances.

Nope, not really. It was sort of a bummer, but it least its given me perspective for how we want to be with our future kids. I want to be much more involved than they were.

My mom and dad went to all the parent teacher conferences together. My mom would make it to special school functions that took place during the day (but my dad couldn't because he was at work). They both went to my piano recitals (but that wasn't school related. They both went to all my band/orchestra concerts. They took turns going to my sporting events. My mom went with me for most of the out of town figure skating shows, but one of my favorite ones ever was the one that my dad took me to! My parents did a great job of sharing the responsibilities of these events, although I know my mom did more because she didn't work when I was young and only worked part time when I got older.

They weren't in the PTA or anything, but they attended most of my orchestra, choir, variety shows, musical performances!

I'm actually really proud that my mom, who was a single mother for a number of years and worked two jobs, found time to always show up to open houses, plays, award ceremonies, and just about everything else she could. I loved having my mom back me up!
Now that she's remarried and her and my step father have kids of their own, she's still really involved. My step dad is, too. In fact, much of their spare time ( which is minimal since they're both self employed) is spent volunteering at the school.

Nope! My parents didnt care much especially because I did well in school. But I think they should have taken a little bit more interest in my school life.
