I am 15 days PP today. I haven't had much blood for the past week or so, other than randomly some red gushes. I had that twice yesterday and then a couple times today so far.
I called my midwife and she didn't seem too concerned. Did this happen to anyone else? I'm not soaking a pad or anything, but I go from basically nothing to a large gush back to nothing.

This happened to me too. I stopped bleeding after the first week and thought it was over. It then came back several times though throughout the following two or three weeks.

Yes, I would bleed kinda like a period, then spot super lightly, then gush, then nothing for a day, then bleed again. I think I bled like that for about 5 weeks.

On days after I was more active than normal I would gush red blood and blood clots all day. Turns out it was just from the activity. I'm 5 weeks PP and just having a small amount of brown fluid everyday and no gushes even when I'm really active.

Yes, I bled off and on for 3 weeks after w/ DD1 and already doing it again for DD2. Really tired if wearing a pad....

Yup! More blood often corresponded with over doing it as well. My OB/GYN said it was normal and that you bleed longer with subsequent pregnancies.

Thanks for the responses! Freaked me out to have bright red blood again. I have been trying to rest but I slipped on Saturday and landed on my butt. That probably didn't help!

Oh yeah. Off and on for right at 6 weeks. It pretty much stopped at about 3.5 weeks, but then came back a few days later. I thought it was my first period!!!

@BabyBoecksMom: @Bao: just confirming since I know you both are going through this right now... Is it bright red what you have sometimes? I hate it! I keep thinking something is wrong. All day I've had no bleeding then I just had some more red. Blah.

I had about three weeks of bleeding that tapered. Then it stopped for about a week, then it was very light for one last week.

Mine left after 3 weeks, came back at 5, stopped, then came back sporadically until 8 weeks pp.
