Oh wow, only 5%??? That isn't very nice haha. When I was in the later stages of labor we were laying in bed trying to get some rest and I was joking around about how bad it sucked and he said "I don't know whats wrong, all you have to do is lay there"... Of course he was totally joking and we were able to laugh about it but it was pretty stupid.

We used to watch that show too and make fun of the husband's. And then he became one of them. First he sat there watching the computer which showed when I had contractions and he told me when I was having one. Like I couldn't tell. Then after I gave birth he told (and still tells ) people that it was easy for me because I only pushed for an hour. Yes, compared to other people, especially those who go natural, it was easy. But I still had to suffer through many contractions before I could get the epidural and pushing an almost 9 pound baby out isn't fun, even if you are drugged.

No but rubbing my head annoyed me. I hated him touching me!LOL

DH kept joking that if I said something along the lines of "you did this to me" that he was going to reply with "you liked it at the time". I'm glad it didn't come to that. I fell while I was in labor and I had to yell at DH to stop worrying about it after they said baby and I were fine. He kept asking me if I was ok over and over and it was getting on my nerves. He was really great during labor.
And I was totally the parent (like one of the dads on the show One Born Every Minute) who dropped my phone on my newborn, about 4 days after he was born. oops.

no, my hubs knew better than to say anything at all. he was a silent support system which is just how i wanted it!

He didn't say anything dumb but I think he was a bit surprised about what all was going on. I became a little sensory sensitive, like to touch, noise, everything, so I think he mainly sat there scared to say or do much of anything.

It took a really long time for the anesthesiologist to come administer the epidural so I told my husband I was quitting the whole labor/delivery thing. He politely told me that was not an option and got me back to concentrating on breathing.

No, my husband was a saint during labor. He was very worried and stressed because I was far from my usual self during contractions. It took a very big toll on him, recovery seemed to be just as much for him as for me.

He did say one great one today though- we took Cam to his 2 week well-baby check up, at the scale we ran into a toddler who was obsessed with the baby. My husband, who is a vet asked the little girl if she wanted to pet the baby. This had me cracking up.

Wow! Way to "man up" 5% geeeeees! Lol
