No, he was always in the dress to impress camp when we were dating. I hadn't even noticed him really so on a group outing he bought a new coat just because he hoped it would impress

Only when we first started dating. I thought he dressed better than he reallly did...he had gone to Nordstrom, let the S.A. Pick a bunch of casual, trendy brands and bought like a new casual wardrobe (b/c he wears suits everyday for work). I think just prior to that, one of his most fashionable BFFs took him shopping foe new glasses and shades (Prada & Gucci). He knew I worked in fashion and kept that up the first few months. Then when he got too comfortable with me, did I realize that all his pre-meeting me casual clothes consisted of freebie tees, sports team tees, hideous shorts, and tube socks! LoL! I think we actually called his early on dating style "peacocking"!!!
Nowadays I buy some things for him and only insist he dress nicer for certain places...I don't want to be a nag or make him dress as someone he's totally not.
