Because they sounded like "stripper" names?
My DH vetoed a lot of names for this reason!

Haha, no. He just randomly vetoed names because he didn't like them.
ETA - he vetoed R's name originally.

Yup, I vetoed one of his for this reason too. I don't want to say which ones so I dont offend - just in case.

There were a few that he vetoed but I don't remember what they were. I know I vetoed one of them right away. I told him we could use it as a middle name for one of our other children but nothing more than that.

I'm a teacher so I've been the one veto-ing most of the names - there was only one of my top names he vetoed.

DH vetoed almost every single name I suggested because he was so stubbornly set on the name he wanted...I think he thought he'd wear me down eventually!

He vetoed 98% of the names I suggested (including the one we ended up naming our daughter), and about three of them because they were "stripper names". I won't name them here, because I wouldn't want to offend anyone!!

TONS! I would suggest a name, and he would say in a creepy strip club announcer voice 'Welcome to the stage [insert name]!" He ruined so many pretty names for me! Ha!

Hahah Yes! I love Russian names like Natasha, Tatiana and my husband said they are way too strippery.

Yes! Savannah for sure is vetoed. He's got a ton for that exact reason.

I've loved loved loved Maeve since I was a little girl (and was obsessed with Maeve Binchy books) but Dh will have nothing of it.
