It broke on its own but while I was at the hospital. It was right before I got my epidural so I was probably around 5cm when it broke. Huge gush!

Mine broke while I was in bed, right after I woke up in the morning. I felt a little "pop" and then wetness, but it wasn't a huge gush. It basically stayed like a constant slow stream over the next few hours. It was more than a trickle though, I definitely couldn't ignore it.

Sure did! I stood up to greet a coworker on my last day before maternity leave and felt like I peed my pants! I knew I didn't pee as I never had bladder issues but I definitely ruined a chair and my pants!

Water broke for both of my LOs before any contractions, both times it was a gush! With LO1 I had just peed, so I was still sitting on the toilet, very convenient! With LO2, I was sitting on LO1's bed about to read him a story when it just gushed out of nowhere (at 37 weeks). LO1 said "mama made an accident!".

I started to feel wetness and got up off the couch and by the time I was in the bathroom it was gushing. I went through 4 pairs of pants, I would think it stopped then more would leak out.

I voted "trickle," but it was definitely somewhere in between a trickle and a gush. There was definitely a little puddle, I had to change my clothes and sit on a towel for the ride to the hospital bc it continued to slowly trickle out afterwards. Totally crazy sensation... almost like you peed your pants and couldn't control it.

Had mine broken to begin my induction. Weirdest feeling ever. I'm hoping it doesn't break on it's own next time - it's a mess!

I think I might have broken it? I thought I was loosing water because my belly measured smaller so I was paranoid and did the squat test and then BAM!!! So not really sure what happened... Luckily I was in the bathroom!

I voted other: Yes it broke on its own but I was laying down on my side in transition at the hospital and it didn't trickle or gush. With each contraction it felt like I peed a little but it was only during contractions.

I was walking up the stairs when mine broke and it was a huge gush. I was thinking there's no way I peed myself! Then it kept gushing every time I moved. Yuck.

Mine broke at 5am. I had no idea what was happening. I thought I was peeing myself, but it keep gushing out. Let's say I had very little sleep and it was 3 1/2 weeks before my due date so I was very confused at first.

Mine was only broken by my daughter's head as she came out. I was in water at the time so I didn't feel the extra fluid. Actually a sort of bubble of the bag of waters was the first thing to stick out when I was pushing, it felt like a strange soft balloon..

I was induced, so they broke my water to really get things moving. Baby girl arrived a few hours later!

I had the huge pop and gush ... On our white sofa ... Doula had just had me try a position with my leg up on the back. I remember wondering if we should put down puppy pads but never did it ... Yikes. Luckily couch was washable and taking all the covers to the laundry was on dh's to-do list after the birth!

The first time it was a constant trickle. Went in, had the trickle tested and sure enough my water had broken. 24 hours later I was admitted into the hospital for an induction. It never got worse than that initial trickle.

The second time it was a huge gush just as I stood up from the car at the ER valet center. Don't remember if there was any trickling afterwards since I had been in labor at home all day. Baby girl was born 20 ish minutes later.

Mine broke right at midnight on my due date. Luckily I had put a towel down in bed and it caught most of the wetness when I stood up. It continued to trickle out for the rest of the day hike I was in labor.
