I honestly think it won't even occur to DH this year while I'm still pregnant... I'm ok with that. I came home to him looking for something for my mom and it made me happy! So he's off the hook this year.

That's really sweet about your DH looking for something for your mom. I'm not sure it would even occur to mine to wish my mother a Happy Mother's Day, even though I get a card for his mom. He likes my mom and all but I just don't think it's something that would occur to him to do!

I'm going to guess probably not. I will only be 5 weeks along. We were hoping to surprise our moms and grandma with the news but we're thinking it's still too early. So we'll see.

No, we discussed it and DH thought we should wait until the baby was here to start celebrating mother's/father's day. I'm pretty sure my mom and/or MIL will send me a card though

No, he didn't and I was so upset. I only wanted a card, that's it. No flowers, no candy, no gifts, nothing, just a card. I was 35 weeks pregnant and thought for sure he would do something...but no. He didn't even wish me a happy Mother's Day and was so surprised when I burst into tears at lunchtime when it was clear he was not yet thinking of me as a mother. Poor guy, he had no idea what it meant to me. Then again, I think pregnancy hormones were kicking in big time and probably blew my reaction a tiny bit out of proportion.

He did, but I didn't really want it. The first time I was pregnant I got DH a father's day gift (probably how he figured out that I wanted a gift) and then I miscarried. So the next time I got pregnant mother's day was in my first trimester and I didn't want anything, I felt like it would jinx it. He did good though, he got me a couple of outfits for LO that were perfect.

He got me a charm bracelet... And then I lost the baby. So I didn't wear it until I had my twin babies. With the twins, I got pregnant after Mother's Day.

Yup. He got me a beautiful blown-glass necklace I was drooling over at a craft fair.
I also got cards from him, my Mom, MIL and SIL.

I doubt it, but that's ok with me. I'm of the opinion that mother's day is to honour your mother, and I'm not his mother. I certainly hope he helps our LO get/make me something when he/she is here though!

I always loved scheming up something for Mothers Day with my dad and sister for my mom when we were little girls!

I highly doubt it since I'm pregnant. I'd love it if he made a small gesture towards it though. Just a sweet text or something since we'll be apart that day.

My dh already told me he wants to do something for me for Mother's Day even though I told him it wasn't necessary. Last year my mom gave out Mother's Day cards and gave one to my pregnant sil so I will likely get one from her this year too. In my family we celebrate all pregnant mothers on Mother's Day.

I doubt it. Although, last year I got choc covered strawberries and a card from the dogs so maybe he will surprise me!

Probably not, he just told me yesterday that this was my last mothers day not being a mother, so I don't think it would even occur to him.... I would like a card though, but its okay if it doesn't happen.
