Apparently my husband doesn't trust my handyman skills because he wouldn't let me hang anything heavy (prints, shelves) above or around the crib. Other than that, he's very much a "Yes Dear" kind of guy when it comes to decor (and I love him for it).
Did your SO surprise you with their involvement or requests while setting up the nursery?

I don't think he vetoed anything in the nursery. Of course he's allowed to say no to anything, but he didn't.
He didn't let me hang or put together certain things because I was super pregnant and he didn't want me standing on chairs.

My DH is totally a "Yes Dear" kind of guy, too, and I love it. I think he would veto it if I wanted to do something absolutely ridiculous with the nursery, but when the time comes I think he'll pretty much let me do whatever I want. We've actually already talked about our future nursery plans and are pretty much on the same page!

I ran all my ideas past him and he'd respond, "oh that's cute!" he takes an active approach in decor.

I'm designing the nursery for our LO (she's 5 months but we are moving in a couple of weeks so she will get her nursery finally). I only ask my DH for input when I can't decide between two items. If he doesn't like an idea or item I've purchased and I do, I win

My husband actually likes to decorate, but we don't have the same taste at all. So there was quite a bit of discussion on how to decorate the nursery! He ended up designing the customer closet, and picked out the rug, and the curtains. And then everything else I found and had him look at it before I bought to make sure he had a say. He was involved in every decision though.

DH actually picked out an artist and designed the nursery mural with her for the nursery. We picked out the room color and crib together, and then I did the rest of the decor.

We're doing a baseball/Yankees theme and DH is the baseball/Yankees fan so I asked direct input on a few things, like which baseball lamp he wanted and asked him to find some bobbleheads of players he liked. I did run everything else by him also but I knew he'd say "fine" to everything -- which he did. If he didn't like something, I wouldn't have done it, but everything was so cute!

I was kind of surprised my DH got really into the nursery and actually wanted it to be as colorful as possible. I had to tone him down lol.

DH wasn't into the nursery until I told him I wanted to do a superhero theme. He even went out on his own once looking for cute superhero stuff and he was all over getting the nursery done and exactly how I wanted it. I did not expect that at all from him!

I come up with ideas, and then run them by him. He's agreed with all of my ideas. Whether that's just because he's yessing me to death or he actually agrees, I don't know. Either way, I'm happy about it! I do keep him in mind when making decisions, though.

My hubby has a great sense of style so I'm sure he'll be heavily involved when we pick out furniture, bedding, and decor for the baby's room.

We are only TTC-ing, but he has been so excited to get the guest room turned into the nursery! He even took a picture of the room and photoshopped different paint schemes onto it so we could pick one! It' been great! I have a better design eye than he does, but he is GREAT at getting things done! 
Can't wait til I get KU and start putting this into action!!

He helped hang, but he didn't have a say in the decorations. He did choose between 2 paint colors for hte wall (of course choosing the opposite one that I wanted) but it turned out cute!

Yes! Not that we've done anything yet, but we've had several spirited discussions (that sounds civilized, right?!) about paint colors, and he tends to have surprisingly strong decisions about decor. Luckily, we have fairly similar taste, so I'm looking forward to working on it together!

He did all the furniture building and stuff hanging, and he helped me with the painting, but he is pretty hands off when it comes to home decor. I always run my ideas by him before I do anything though.

He generally leaves decor stuff up to me. If I ask sometimes he will give an opinion but otherwise he just helps with the technical parts- hanging stuff where I can't reach and the likes.

He picked out the theme and I did the rest of course I ran everything by him but he usually likes any decorating that I do.
