My second recovery has been insanely easy. Even with an epidural I was up and walking by the time I got a room, bled for maybe a week (then spotting for a few days), no pain meds after discharge.
Weirdly, though, I wasn't cleared at my appointment for sex! Haha. I thought that was strange because they cleared me at 6 weeks with DD even though I still had pain walking! I didn't clear myself til 14 weeks

Night and day easier the second time around. I had no tears or ungodly hemmoroids...I felt like I could've run a marathon compared to the way I felt the first time!

Definitely easier the 2nd time -- likely the difference between 48+ hrs of labor/delivery and 2.5 hrs of labor/delivery!

Much easier the second time! I felt like I'd been through a battle the first time. Labor the second was actually fun and quick and my body just bounced back!

So much easier the second time! My early labor was forever long this time around, but active labor was super short, and I think that made a huge difference. Also no tears this time, thankfully. The L&D nurse said that one of the OBs always says he wants to staet a practice that only accepts second pregnancies, because everyone would think he's a miracle doctor since things tend to go so much easier the second time.

Even though I tore both times and had persistent hemorrhoids and bleeding both times it still seemed easier the second time. Probably because I knew what to expect and I was active right away because LO1 is still so young.

I keep hearing how easy it is the second time around!! A friend of mine was at the zoo five days later! I was still sitting on a pillow and hobbling around the NICU 5 days PP with E!

I was wondering about this! I got super lucky and my recovery the first time was crazy easy even with an epesiotomy. I was shocked. I can't imagine it being easier the second time around but I am so there if it is!
