Do you have a favorite gift you like to give for two year old birthday parties?
People have been asking what to get LO, but I'm torn because I feel like there's nothing he needs.

@SweetCaroline: We got a small ball pit the kids have been enjoying. Otherwise not too many toys, mostly cash for the college fund, which is appreciated.

A balloon. DS has been playing with his for a month and my baby is fascinated by it too. We need to pitch it because most of the air is gone but he's had so much fun with it. They have some fancy ones at party city.

Puzzles! And my two year old is SUPER into his Duplo Legos- there are many fun small 'sets', including a spaceship (my kid's favorite which kept him occupied for a solid week of car rides!). More interactive books (press here), and smaller toys they can carry - My little pony's, small trucks, etc.

Books are my go-to gift for any age. In terms of toys, my DD loved duplos, play food, re-usable stickers, water wow books, and simple puzzles at that age.

My LO is obsessed with the Little People school bus (and airplane... and barn), Mega Blocks and lots of books. He loves books so much! (which makes his bookworm mama so happy!)

I gift books because I hate getting toys as gifts (we are pretty toy-minimal and very deliberate in his mix of toys). That said, DS just turned two and his current obsessions are:
plasma car
play kitchen
playmobil recycling/garbage truck
M&D cleaning supplies

Wondering what else I should add to DS's Christmas wish-list? Any great suggestions? Open to larger items (trucks, t-ball and golf set) as well as small stuff (already have playdough and books on there). Thanks!
