If you had different symptoms with each pregnancy, did you have different gender kids or same gender?

Totally different symptoms, different genders. Bad nausea, hardly any vomiting with 2nd, a lot of vomiting and heartburn with 1st.

@matador84: your 1st was boy and 2nd girl, right? So much for the old wives tale about nasuea and being pregnant with a girl.

I had different symptoms and the same gender. I threw up a ton with A and only once with E. Tons of swelling with A and none with E. Different cravings too.

@littlek: My good friend was puking her brains out with her boy and was totally fine with her girl. Go figure! My sister had same symptoms all 3 pregnancies (2 girls, 1 boy!)

@winniebee: DH is convinced we are having a girl because of m/s. I told him that was just an old wives tale. He actually smiles when I tell him how bad I feel.

@winniebee: I threw up once during my entire pregnancy and had a girl!

@littlek: I think I'm having a girl just b/c of timing - and my boobs feel the way that they did w/ my miscarriage but different than with T. Who knows!

@winniebee: I think I'm having a boy. My symptoms are very different but I just have a gut feeling it's a boy.

Not the same thing, but my MIL and mother both had two IDENTICAL pregnancies. My MIL ended up with one of each, my mom with two girls.
My early symptoms this time were wildly different (nausea, cramping) from my pregnancy with DD (sore nips, fatigue). This pregnancy is a no-go (and I do wonder if how sick I was immediately was a sign that something was not right), but it's interesting to compare!

I cant say because I only have the one, but when this subject gets brought up, my mom always gets so riled up because she insists all of her pregnancies were IMMENSELY different. She was team green all 3 times and had 2 girls and 1 boy. What she tells me, they really are different. From conception (medicated or not, versus getting KU while nursing) to sickness, to how she carried, to weight gain and cravings, and even labors were all different.

Different symptoms, same gender. The pregnancies were as different as night and day! I got pregnant when LO was 1, so it's not like a lot of time inbetween either. My first was way harder. MS all through the third trimester, this time-nothing!

Symptoms mostly different and pregnancy MUCH easier - both boys. I was convinced this was a girl because it was so different. Nope!

My best friend had different pregnancies/cravings and both turned out to be boys.
My other friend has had totally different pregnancies - easy breezy nausea free with her first (girl) and a terrible nausea filled pregnancy with lots of aches and pains (baby girl due in June)

@winniebee: @littlek: what do your Chinese gender charts say? Mine says boy so I'm hopeful . So far my pregnancies are pretty similar (lots of nausea)

I had different aymptoms, different genders.
My mom had 3, 2 boys 1 girl. She said her pregnancies with my and one of my brothers were the exact same. The other brother was completely different.

I only had different symptoms in the first trimester. The rest of my pregnancy was the same for both. I had one girl, one boy.

@littlek: @winniebee: whenever I talk to my OB about stuff like this (old wives tales about gender) he always says "it's usually accurate 50% of the time"

DS - easiest pregnancy ever. Regular weight gain. Major sex drive.
DD - mild nausea the first 13 weeks. Weight gain all over the place. Low sex drive. More aches and pains.

I feel like our bodies chemistry can fluctuate. Weather changes and PP changes, age, diet. So much can make for a different pregnancy. A nub shot or a blood test will be your only way to know for sure. The Chinese gender chart was right for me and has been so right for all of my friends that I kind of assume it will be right each month that we try but I've seen that be wrong too on several occasions. I've seen shettles proven wrong. You might be able to look into Ramzi's theory. Just remember to reverse the image if you had an abdominal ultrasound.

Same symptoms, but lasting much longer this time around. (First was a girl, now expecting a boy).

Different symptoms, same sex (girls) - I'm chalking up feeling worse in my second pregnancy to the fact that I'm now chasing a toddler (and maybe that I'm older? I don't think <2 years should matter, but I am 30 this time around?!? )

I feel like my pregnancy is going much easier this time, and my cravings are definitely different, but they're both boys.

So far (21 weeks) same symptoms, different intensities. This pregnancy is also harder.
Girls both times!

My first two pregnancies were night and day from each other so I was convinced I was having a boy for #2 since I was even carrying way lower but we have two girls! This pregnancy is similar to last time but still different so I have no feelings either way lol!

I'm bumping for more replies:)
I am close to 6 weeks and wondering if I'm having another little girl bc I haven't had even the slightest of symptoms other than being more tired. I never had MS with my daughter (just 1 morning actually), and I kind of thought a boy would make me sick since I wasn't sick with a girl:)

I chimed on this several months ago, but will reiterate that different pregnancies have different hormone levels, which causes different levels of symptoms. Your hormone levels are not influenced by and have no effect on the gender. I know some people have fun looking at the old wives tales, but that is really all that they are!
