My lovely parents have been here cooking amazing homemade meals 3 times a day for us. All Korean food. Yum.
But they just went out for a day off to shop and have dinner out, and I'm sending Wagon Sr. to McDonald's for a Tina Special, STAT. Including McFlurry. (Tina Special includes a McDouble, 6 piece nuggets, small fries, diet coke. He usually gets himself a McChicken and we share everything.)
Yeahhhhh.

Honestly I'm not a McD fan, but this thread is making me crave some. I always get a double cheese burger trio, but I don't love fries so I give them to DH. McFlurry too. yum

Are McFlurries included in the no soft-serve rule if you're pregnant?
*ETA* I keep craving milk shakes and stuff from fast food places but assuming that they're not allowed. I didn't actually ask my doctor but don't want to assume they're okay!

hah! I get the SAME thing, but a 4-piece nugget, and hi-c orange instead of coke. so I guess not the same thing.
my go to is: mcdouble only ketchup, small fry, 4 piece nugget, hi-c orange. and m&m mcflurry, snack size!

@tororojo: During my first pregnancy I hadn't heard of the no soft serve rule. Seriously, I don't think it was on the list of foods to avoid back then!! And it was just 3 years ago. In fact, McFlurries were one of my biggest cravings so I had several a week. I cut down quite a bit with the second pregnancy but I still regularly had McFlurries as well as Pinkberry.
@sorrycharlie: slightly different but I'd still call us McD's sisters.

@mrs. wagon: Pinkberry, oooh...I have heard that yogurt places where you don't serve yourself are a lot more sanitary (makes sense!). I may break down and have an M&M McFlurry later, yum!

@tororojo: I think I missed the no soft serve/frozen yogurt rule. I didn't see it on my list of food to avoid. Crap! I think I've had frozen yogurt and dipped cones at least 5 times during this pregnancy. I will need to bring this up with my doctor on Friday.

I usually get 4 piece chicken nuggets with sweet and sour sauce, cheese burger w/o onions and small fries.
I usually share a drink with the DH.

@WALLAROO: Let me know what your doctor says! I didn't actually ask mine about which foods to avoid and I don't go back for 2 weeks, have just been sticking to general guidelines found online but now I'm wondering if some of them are overly cautious/totally not necessary.

i'm so glad that other people like mcdonald's! its gotten such a bad reputation in the last decade, but i still love their mcnuggets and the occasional cheeseburger and fries! yum!

my fave thing to order from mcdonalds is Large fries, chocolate shake and 10 piece nuggets. I have a big appetite and the small fries just dont work for me lol
@tororojo: i craved mcdonalds milkshakes really badly when i was pregnant. I avoided any softserve in the beginning because I know they dont clean the machines very well. but in my 3 rd trimester I gave in and indulged a bit

I have a friend who was actually encouraged by our OB to drink FF milkshakes during one of her pregnancies because she wasn't gaining enough weight.
