Hellobee Boards

I bought a mirror from a thrift shop and spray painted the mirror with chalkboard spray paint. Some people prefer the paint but I read it can bubble easily if you're not careful.

@littlek: I would google it and read some blogs about which brands are best and what tools you need. Or just head to Home Depot and they'll give you good advice.

I was going to paint my LO's table top with chalkboard paint but i ultimately decided to paint it with dry erase whiteboard paint (they have dry erase crayons now) and I just googled it and found so many helpful tips

I bought two cheapie chalkboards at Hobby Lobby. They do okay. I wish they had nicer frames though.

We turned the back of our kitchen door into a chalkboard just using the chalkboard paint you can buy at any hardware store. I'm planning to use the leftovers to make a chalkboard for LO's room. I'm going to get a remnant of plywood (they should have them at any lumber store) and some prefinished trim. I have a power saw at home, but you can usually get the people at the hardware store to cut the molding down to size for you if you can't do it yourself. Anyway, I'll lightly sand the plywood to make sure it's smooth, do two coats of chalkboard paint, and then glue the cut molding pieces around the edges for a finished look. Not sure when I'll get around to making this, but I'll post a pic when I do!
