Yup, you should definitely call them to complain. DH calls them all the time. I think, at least, a couple times, he's gotten some type of credit back for the delay.

yes! it's happened a couple of times and it really really annoys me. i'm not sure if amazon can do anything about it so i never complain.

It always arrives to me within 2 days and sometimes it only takes 1 day!

It's happened to me once. But it was just a day late, I think. I didn't complain, though.

I have never had it happen, but I think thats because we live near the amazon distributon center. I'd call and complain if I were you.

This happened to me just twice and I did complain the first time and the second time was just this week so I haven had the chance to yet. 99% of my orders come on time

Amazon Prime entitles you to 2-day shipping, but it's up to the carrier to actually follow through. I ordered something for DH last year for Christmas that was almost late, even though I rushed it and I got really pissed. Amazon refunded me the shipping cost (dh's account has prime but mine doesn't) but they couldn't do anything to make it get there quicker.

My prime orders frequently take 3 days to get to me instead of 2, but I honestly never really thought about it until reading your post! I think if they took any longer than that I'd be annoyed, but so far they've always arrived within 3 days and I consider that acceptable.

The only time I've had those issues are due to the item being from a 3rd party seller. They have great customer service, I usually just "chat" them and they help me figure it out and make it right.

@mrskc: Actually what's more common for me is for the carrier to leave a delivery slip on the main door instead of leave the package in the lobby. It is absolutley infuriating when they do this because the packages aren't heavy and don't require a signature and our building has an arrangement with UPS, Fedex and USPS for them to have access to our building so we don't have to go pick things up. This happens to me about 50% of the time, but isn't really an Amazon Prime issue.

I would definitely call. They might not even be aware the carrier is taking that long. Once I even had a package delivered by some unmarked van at 9pm on the 2nd day! But do remember it is only two.business days. So if you order even Friday after.the cut off time it won get here till Tuesday at earliest.

@mrskc: it's creepy! I appreciate the urgency but man I considered sending the stuff back....
