All American Girl by Carrie Underwood.... Even though we are team green I have a preference for a girl. I know my husband would be so happy with either but the thought of him with a daughter makes me melt, thus the girl preference. That song has always got me.

Most recently I've been reminded of Breath of Heaven, which I know from Amy Grant's Christmas album (but not sure if it's hers originally). Especially last year when I was pregnant at Christmastime!
But also lots and lots of country love songs with those repeating refrains that mean something different every time but then the final time there's a twist and somebody's actually dead or something. You know what I mean?

Wake me up when it's all over & I will wait for you, because they were popular when D was in the NICU and they remind me of all those struggles and the fear I felt.

Brandi Carlile - The Heartache Can Wait
I saw Leann Rimes last night for her Christmas tour and she sang that song. She couldn't even get through it without crying. She warned everyone ahead of time that she might. Unfortunately she lost her friend and her 16 year old dog this past week so she said she was feeling a little emotional. That song gets me emotional on a good day!

@Mae: Oh geez, I teared up just thinking about that song.

Lots and lots but one that always gets me ever since I was a little kid is "How Can I Help You To Say Goodbye" by Patty Loveless.
And lots of T-swift songs - "Never Grow Up", "The Best Day", and especially "Breathe" with Colbie Callait.

Omg, SOOOO many songs!! I have never NOT teared up (at a minimum) at Tim McGraw's "Don't Take The Girl" during the line "take the very breath you gave me, take the heart from my chest...". Uggh, here I go now!
He also has another one that kills me: "Red Ragtop". This one is WAY worse for me now that I'm pregnant, as it's about a young couple who choose to abort a baby. Others are at least "happy tears" inducing songs, but I'm a ridiculous softy & cry so easily I should be embarrassed.

Definitely You're Gonna Miss This by Trace Adkins - always gets me! And reminds me to enjoy all these moments with J.
Whiskey Lullaby is the other one that really gets me.

The Christmas Shoes song! Thankfully I haven't heard it yet this year.
Amazing Grace also makes me tear up.
