Sometimes but usually when its something pink and frilly I woukd never buy myself.

Haha no. They comment on how cute/pretty things are, but never ask where I buy things.

My sons daycare teacher asks on occasion because she has a son a couple months younger! I've been asked a couple times about my daughters hair clips as well

@mediagirl: ahh those are favorites for me too. They are def more spendy but they wash so well!!

@mediagirl: she doesn't wear them regularly since everything gets lost at preschool but they were from the etsy seller childhoods. I don't think they make them anymore but this is what they looked like. Haha cute but not super practical for preschool. She also had some knot headbands from jute baby that are similar but she stopped letting me put them on her

Nope. She wears the same few things and often dresses herself. They at least know she dresses herself though

Oh man. I send LO in her unmatched grubby clothes because I figure I have no control over stains and other dirtyness. Now I feel badly she's the fugly dressed kid!

@Bao: oh good! Haha. She wears the same pair of shoes each time until the season changes. And has a handful of my less favorite outfits that I rotate (great way to use weird clothes MIL sends!). Although who am I kidding, she's not exactly a trendsetter at home either, hsha.

I used to, but not since she started putting her own outfits together. Wah. My DS wears exclusively Thomas shirts, so no.

He used to! But now that he's older I don't dress him as cute because he always ends up covered in dirt by the end of the day! he typically just wears jeans or sweatpants and a regular (dark colored) top. There's been a few times he wears a cute sweater but nothing to write home about.

@regberadaisy: Us, too! The girls' teachers (preschool and special activities like ballet/music) always comment on their boots. We're doing school tours now and we've even gotten remarks there. They're nothing super fancy, but they do often have styles of boots very similar to mine, which may be what gets them noticed.

Nope she mostly wears hand me downs both her boy cousins wore to daycare. Or the cheapest clearance stuff. Nothing matches. She may win an award for worst dressed

Never. But I don't send them to school in cute things, otherwise they get wrecked.

I don't think so but I dress them in Old Navy/Target/Carter's stuff so while I think it's cute it is nothing out of the ordinary. My boys play hard at daycare and since I don't spend a lot of money on clothing I don't care when they come home with stains and holes in the knees. My neighbor gives us some J Crew stuff it I save that for nicer occasions.

They did when DS was an infant. We inherited a bunch of super cute clothes from my dad's co-worker so I didn't buy him much. Now, he's in Carter's with occasional Baby Gap or Children's Place tossed in. So definitely not as cool/hip as he was as an infant.

Thought about this thread today because I laughed when I first saw it, since LO's clothes are all from Buy Nothing or Carter's gifted from grandparents. But then this week DH (he does all drop-off and pick-up) told me that the daycare teachers have gone out of their way to mention how cute DD's clothes are! Makes me feel good about the 30 seconds I spend in the morning picking out a coordinating outfit.
