LMW's first easter dress was ivory with pastel pink rosettes on the skirt. Now I'm shopping for her second, and I find myself drawn to dresses with navy or dark colors.

No i don't think so! E's is kind of a bright yellow/mustard with bunnies all over it. The first one I bought her is polka dot coral!

Not at all, last year's Easter dress was Navy, Hot Pink, adn White stripes, I loved it! This year is bright purple and lime green!

I don't think so! Baby Gap has some crazy cute ones right now in reds/pinks, purple and green. I'm drawn to darker/jewel tones for LO anyway.

For those buying a Easter dress. Do you go to church? We don't and will just be hanging out at home so I see no point?

@locavore_mama: Yes, we go to church. So she will wear the dress for church and then change into another Easter outfit for hanging out with family for the day.

I don't think it has to be pastel. However, LO's will be because she is going to wear a smocked dress that we already have.
@locavore_mama: Yes, we go to church. I dress her in similarly formal clothes for Sunday mornings anyway, so it's not a huge deal. If we didn't go, I wouldn't waste money on a dress.

L's first Easter dress was bright teal, so while not pastel, still in the pastel color family, I guess.
But no, I think an Easter dress can be any color you want - black if you find a dress you love!
