I'm a mom of a 5 month old and I still don't feel comfortable holding other ppl's babies!! LOL. BFF just had her daughter in feb, but I didn't hold her til at least the third time? I saw her.. .and even then she seemes so tiny compared to ds.

No, not really! I'm still scared that I will drop someone else's baby!

I love holding babies. Always have. But I've never gone out of my way to do it, I just wait until it's offered to me.

I don't know why, I just love babies. hahaha

I totally love holding babies, but I can't explain why. I just see one and immediately want to cuddle it. That said, I've never asked to hold a baby I didn't know, or didn't know well, and will more often than not wait until it's offered.

Nope! I have gotten especially sensitive about it since I've been pregnant myself and realized I have a lot of anxiety about other people holding/touching our LO. I cringe when I see people grab at babies or touch their hands. I only hold babies if I know the mom well and she offers first... or if its a friend and I can obviously see that she needs help, and the baby is comfortable with me. For example - I went to the grocery store with a friend over the weekend and her daughter wanted to be picked up, but my friend had her hands full.

I am totally aware of the fact that I'm going to have an angry jealous weirdo complex about people holding my baby when he first arrives.

Ummm yes, I love holding babies!!! I don't discriminate, I'll hold any baby! LOL. However, I wouldn't just randomly go up to a person I don't know/don't know well, and ask to hold their baby. I'll ask if it's a close friend or relative, but otherwise, I'll only hold someone else's baby if they offer.

Not really. I'd rather play with someone's dog than hold a baby. I don't mind playing with a toddler though.

I love to hold really teeny newborns. There's something about holding a tiny sleeping baby cuddling in your arms. But that said, I don't grab people's babies and pick them up, lol. I typically wait to be asked if I want to hold them. Good friends usually offer. If I'm not good friends with them I shouldn't be holding their baby, lol.

Oh, I love holding babies. Not strangers or anything-- I would never ask in general, but friends or family's babies, I love. I don't like it as much when they are teeny tiny and I think they will break, but once they are a few months old and their necks are a little stronger, but they are still so little and cuddly? I held my nephew for hours like that (literally-- I was babysitting and he had been sleeping horribly and he finally fell asleep on me-- I held him for 4 hours like that and it was awesome.

That said, i would never ask someone I don't know well, and even with good friends, I usually wait until they offer. It's a baby, not a puppy or a doll or something.

I love holding babies, but I don't go out of my way or request to hold the baby. If the mom offers, I say sure, but have no problem passing the baby off or returning him/her to the parents.

Unless its a close friend, I have no desire to. I will hold if offered but I don't go out of my way to!

I have no desire to hold other peoples babies, families or friends. I think babies are cute but I'm not a baby person. Unless it's mine of course. Now, puppies, whole different story... I love holding puppies!!!

I like it, but don't need to do it. Before having my own, I loved it. Now, I could take it or leave it. I have a LO asking for my attention every free second!

I looove to coo over babies but don't mind not holding them. I held my cousin's baby on Easter and man was she tiny compared to O!! I couldn't believe my little chunka was every that bitty.

I don't mind holding babies but only if the mother offers the baby to me. I WILL NOT grab the baby from other people!

I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've held a baby in my life and that includes my niece! I just don't feel comfortable holding someone else's child, like I don't know what to do with it? It's worse when the mother and/or a crowd are watching me do it. If someone brings a baby into work, I just kind of hover at the back of the group so no one will pass it to me!

I love holding babies, they just smell so good, lol! However I would NEVER grab someone's baby, and always wait for the parents to offer. And if they cry or fuss I make no attempt at soothing them, back to Mom they go!

I don't have a major desire to hold most people's babies unless they are close friends. If close friends, I'll wait to be offered. One thing I've realized after being pregnant and now with a newborn, is that babies make people crazy. Some people just go gaga over babies. I was never really one of them (until now with my own), so perhaps that's why I don't get it.

Just my own. I'm not really all that interested in other people's kids.

I would much rather play with someones dog, or snuggle a puppy then someones baby, but I'm not sure why. Although close friends kids I don't mind holding, I just don't fiend to hold random kids.
