So I took the advice of many and got a video monitor and I love it! But I just assumed that you could turn the screen off(and still have audio) but I guess mine just stays on. Seems like it will drain the battery really fast? I'm using it for the first time tonight so I guess I'll find out! Can you turn the screen off on yours?

If you hit the brightness up and volume up button at the same time it puts it in "vox mode". This makes the screen turn off after a bit if no motion is detected 
hope that helps. The video will pop back on when movement occurs.

Oh and the audio with turn off too with that. But it all comes back on if LO moves/makes noise.

@Purpledaisy: LOL. I had the monitor for 7 months before I realized it ( as in randomly stumbled across the directions and decided to read them) so don't feel bad haha

I've got the Motorola one, and you can choose to have the screen off

Ours turns off. We keep it off every night because DH can't sleep with light.
