Our kids are 22 months apart, and we hear this question several times a week! I got asked 3 times just yesterday... I'm just going to start saying yes haha. Maybe I'll ask them which one they think is older...
Do people ask if your kids are twins?

Yes! Mine are 15 months apart, but what I don't understand is DS is 2 and DD is 9 months...they are clearly NOT twins...

I don't have 2 kids yet, but when my brother and I were growing up ( 2 years apart) people thought we were twins until we were 12. We got asked it all.the.time!

A few times...and they're 3 years apart!! Haha. Someone said, you're so lucky you only had to be pregnant once to get a boy and a girl.

People ask if my 6 mo old LO and her 15 mo old twin cousins are triplets when we are all out together. (To be fair, she is the same size as them. )

My kids are almost 7 years apart, so no. Although, M looks a lot like D as a baby.
My brother is 9 years younger than me, and as he turned to a teen and young adult, people actually asked if we were twins!

Not yet. I don't think this will happen because they are almost 3 years apart, but I guess you never know!

Mine are a bit less than 2 years and if they are in the double stroller then I am asked daily. When they are running around, it's clear they are not.

When my daughter and her cousin are together people ask. Which blows my mind because mine is petite and dark, and my niece is big and tall and SO fair! They are only 6 months apart though.

Noting this, to make sure I don't ask people this question! I'm sure it gets annoying after a while...

@Seattlemom: It's not annoying to me! It's just surprising to me that so many people ask. But hearing that lots of other people get asked is comforting.

Yes, when they are in the double stroller. Although it's crazy to me because the "baby" still looks very much like a baby, and my older one looks like a kid.

Nope, the kids are 26 months apart and J still has a good amount of baby chub on him, whereas N has leaned out. J might catch up to N in height though - so we'll see!

Yes! Every time they are in our City Mini double (side by side) someone asks/comments about them being twins. They are 18 months apart but it's so weird to me.

Growing up people always asked if my brother and sister were twins. They are 23 months apart. My sister and I are only 15 months apart though and no one ever asked about us!

No LOs for me yet but it happened all the time with my sister and me when we were growing up, we were 18 months apart. I vividly remember one time when we were at circuit city a lady would not accept that we were not twins... Like we would lie about that.

Haha never! They are 3 1/2 years apart but they also look very much different.

When they see the kids in our double stroller, they do. Doesn't make sense though, since DD looks a lot bigger when seated.

My brother and I were a year and a week apart and got this question CONSTANTLY. My brother would say, "No! I'm older!" Which was not true, and I would immediately begin to protest, we'd start fighting, and they would get a 'see what you started?' look from my mom as she said that we were not. haha

@mrbee: I'm not joking at all, I got asked this twice today. I was shocked the first time, and felt like I was on hidden camera the second time.

@Mrs. Polish: Wow, that's truly amazing!
Someone recently asked us if our son was twins with the blonde girl on the right here:

I was like... ??? You win this one though! Twice in one day!

@chopsuey: Haha I thought about that picture when she asked the question!

This is why I always ask how old the kids are and not if they are twins.

My sister and I are 2.5 years apart and I can remember people asking if we were twins. People asked until we were probably 5 or 6 years old.
My dad started saying "Yes, they are. But they were born 2 years apart."

I haven't yet because it's still pretty obvious that they are not but, being that they're 13.5 months apart, I'm sure we'll get it eventually! DD is also way above average in height and DS is slightly below so I'm sure she'll catch up to him before long!

All the time! The first time was when Wagon Jr. was over 4 years old and LMW wasn't even walking yet... I was like... what?!?!?
