I've never heard anyone use it in speech, but I see it in email/forums all the time.

It means your results may vary from mine or your opinion may vary from mine.

I see it on slickdeals.net all the time when people find deals/sales at their local stores which may or may not be available at all locations. It took me a while to figure out when I first started browsing the forums.

I've seen it online but not that frequently.

I've only seen it on couponing blogs.
