@mrbee: my husband can be very competitive about petty things like this. We noticed the moment LO was born that he has DH's nose and he was so cocky about it! LO has my ears, and we're started noticing he has my eyes and eyelashes, so he seems to be a pretty even mix of us so far. But yeah my DH definitely wants him to look mostly like him.
Though he made a cute comment about how beautiful his eyelashes are (everyone comments on how dark and long mine are, and now LO has them too!), and said, "hmm I wonder where he got those ;)" it was cute.

It is pretty simple for us. I am Asian and DH is white and LO looks Asian so there is not much to fight about. But yes, I do agree that people get touchy about the subject so I generally don't say anything.

LO has both of our features. Some say she looks like both of us, a lot of people say she looks like DH. Her eyes look more like his than mine which is why I think they say she looks like him.
Luckily, I like the way DH looks.. haha.

We get mixed messages! Some think LO like daddy, some like me.

I'm guilty of telling the parents who their LO resembles. Sometimes it's a spitting image so can't deny it. It also depends on my relationship with the parents also. If we're not close to them, I just point out features too. On our drive home, the hubby and I will discuss who we think the LO resembles.

ME absolutely! She's like my tiny twin. She actually looks SO much like pictures of my mom from that age too.
DH is happy for it because he (obviously) thinks I'm good looking and he jokes that his looks wouldn't be good on a girl.
He's a science teacher so we joke that I dominated him in the gene pool for sure.
