I actually really love the smell of coffee (although I don't drink it). Recently though, one of my coworkers brought a coffee machine to our relatively small office and started making pots of coffee 2-3 times a day. At first I liked the smell, but since it's kinda strong and constant, it's been giving me headaches!

Hm. I don't know about strong, necessarily, but artificial smells REALLY bother me/give me headaches.

Yes - it is a trigger to my migraines. Usually, it is just a heavy scent of air fresheners or perfumes/ colognes . . .

I get migraines so I have to stay away from most strong smells. I won't buy candles, I try to get everything unscented, I've never worn perfume, etc.

Pretty much ALL perfumes give me a headache.

I don't know if I'd call it headaches, exactly, but some strong smells give me a car sick feeling. Just a fuzzy head and a vaguely nauseous feeling. Scented candles and cleaning solutions are the worst offenders. We no longer burn candles and when we do a deep-clean we have to open all the windows, no matter how cold it is outside.

Yes. I hate candles and a large percentage of perfumes. And I really hate plug-ins and air sprays. Instant headache and nausea.

Yes--scented candles and strongly perfumed lotions are top offenders.

Yah every time I pass someone toking up, I get an instant headache!!
I feel bad because I normally don't care what other people do! It really does a number on me though...

@mrbee: Oh man I should have mentioned that! I can't stand the smell of cigarettes (or other things you smoke). It instantly makes me feel ill. I don't get headaches from it though.

@mrbee: Oh yeah, cigarette or any type of tobacco smoke does it to me too. We live above a guy who smokes pipes and cigars and sometimes the smell drifts up...ugh, so nasty.

i get headaches from really strong perfume. i get nauseous from the smell of cigs. the past few days, every time i've been walking on the street, someone smoking is in front of me, walking so slowly, and i can't pass them,and it's gag inducing!

I can't tolerate perfumes. Even lovely ones eventually give me a migraine.

Absolutely! I had to have a stern talk with my (2nd grade) class when the boys went through a cologne phase. There is no way I could teach middle school with all the Axe body spray going around!

@mrs. 64: Wow they start wearing Axe young these days lol! I swear that phase started with my peers at the beginning of high school (which is grade 7 here).
