Having a few don't bother me. But I do like to keep the email ones away. I have my phone set so that it only checks for email when I open it.
My DH, on the other hand, cannot stand to have one notification bubble. If he sees them on my phone, he wants to get rid of them for me. He often goes in and updates all my apps for me b/c I'm the worst at that!

I hate the update apps notification. Sometimes I don't want to update. It irks me. Wish I could make it go away without updating.

What I don't understand is why when I tell an app it can't send me notifications, does it still send me notifications?!

@runsyellowlites: OMG...can I have your phone to get rid of those all?? That would just drive me nuts! I had to get rid of an app that always had the red notification bubble even though there wasn't any notifications waiting for me b/c it drove me so nuts!

They totally drive me nuts. Apparently the new iOS is supposed to have automatic updates in the apps, so that's one less red bubble.

if you go in the menu then notifications then the app you can turn badge app icon off, I think that stops the numbers coming up?

Haha I have lots of "unread" emails... Well technically they are read, but it doesn't seem to update when I read them on my computer..... It drives me nuts, but I'm not going to double open emails to fix it.

It drives me batty, but DH could care less. It's like a contest to see how high the red numbers can go. (His messaging alone is more than 4,000.)

YES. I put the 'settings' icon on the second page, because I can't stand to look at the red bubble & it seems like I have to update something every day.
@runsyellowlites: I don't think you have enough photograph apps! 
@Mrs squirreld: ACK! That gives me so much anxiety. FIIIIX IIIIIT. (Also, I think that if you read the emails on your computer, and then you going into the mailbox on your phone & update--pull down on the list--it will show them as read!)
