I got a pedicure today to pamper myself here at the end of the pregnancy, and I could seriously count on one hand the number of times I've had one in my life. I'm liking them more as I get older, but I always find them so awkward. At any rate, I clearly don't get them frequently or practice great foot-care at home -- especially with a huge belly in the way. The lady used one of those cheese-grater things to slough off the dead skin, and when was done, she was like, "You want to see all the skin?" and flashed me the grater FULL of dead skin. I was so mortified!
Last time I got one done, I had a similar experience! The lady was like, "SO MUCH SKIN."
DUDE. I KNOW. THAT'S WHY I'M HERE.
Are you ever embarrassed by comments salon workers make about your upkeep? I also had one lady one time ask me -- about 5 times -- if I was SUUUUURE I didn't want to get my eyebrows waxed after my manicure. Um, are you trying to tell me something?
