I usually put a show (lately Daniel Tiger, Dinosaur Train or My Little Pony) on for the LOs when I'm trying to cook or clean up on the weekends. LO 1 always wants me to watch with them!

not yet, but i imagine that when LO #2 comes, we'll be using the TV more often.

No, never. If they get to watch, that means I have to do something!

@autumnlove: here and there yes! we only have pbs at home so i don't sweat anything she sees on there and am familiar with all the shows. movies we watch with her unless it's the zillionth time she's watching!

Almost always in the evening. He likes for me to sit next to him and cuddle before bedtime. No way I'm saying no to that! He'll grow up soon enough and not ask. I try to do any "chores" I have before then so I have time for him.

almost always - I tend to distract myself with something else if it's a show other than Octonauts - that's the only one I can tolerate!

DH takes the kids downstairs in the mornings while he runs on the treadmill and I sleep in, so he'll put on Daniel Tiger on Netflix. He watches it while he runs and will tell me stuff about it later. "Daniel got sick and had to go home before he got to eat prince Sunday (Wednesday? Thursday? Can't remember)'s birthday cake!"

I let her watch shows I know are okay and not scary when I'm doing things. If it's a new show or movie, I sit with her.

Yea. I really enjoy Octonauts and My Little Pony. Sometimes I'm more interested in them than he is...
I mean... I learn about some really cool sea creatures in Octonauts, how is that not cool??

Yeah, tv is usually a chance for me to either wake up or to rest my big pregnant self. So I'm usually hanging out on the couch with my laptop along side her.

@.twist.: I really like Octonauts, but the creature report song gets stuck in my head Just this morning she was asking for "spider crab octonauts"!

Almost always. He loves to sit on my lap to watch (he also places my arm around him which is extra adorable). He's 2 so I don't know how long the cuddles will last, plus I'm pregnant with LO2 so I'm cherishing them while they're here. If I can handle DH's shows then I can handle cuddles while I watch with DS

Yeah, always. The only time DS really watches tv is in the morning (Mickey Mouse) so we snuggle on the couch and watch it while I wake up. I never really put it on to get stuff done because he would just follow me and want to do what I was doing, anyway.

We only have it on first thing in the mornings, and I am usually far too busy mainlining coffee to concentrate. DH seems to actually watch it on his mornings though as he is always telling me what happened in the shows!
