Nope! I even dump out the veggies if I'm making the soup variety, ha!

I also add an egg. I used to add these little packets of seaweed and crispy stuff that we had in my house growing up, but I don't have those around any more.

How do u add an egg to ramen? Just in the boiling water? Do u cook the egg separately?

@MrsBrewer: You just crack the egg and put it in the bowl. It cooks in the soup!

LOL! Just had some tonight and I've been making it all my life with stuff added in! What I wouldn't add in is the question!
A few things I'd put in any given day (but hopefully not all at once): egg, quail eggs, tomatoes, tofu, chicken, beef, green onions, fish cake/kamaboko, fish balls, seaweed, slices of potatoes, bok choy, spinach, baby corn, and mushrooms (of any sorts).

I eat just the plain noodles, no water/broth/seasoning, with a little soy sauce.

@anonysquire: mayo and doritos in ramen!? this is seriously the craziest thing i've ever heard of in ramen!
don't the doritos get soggy?

@sunny: I never watch him eat it. Makes me sick lol. But he always has weird recipes that his mom made them as kids. Like corn casserole, all it has in it is corn, miracle whip, stuffing and chips. Ummmm ya... That is why we won't ever be joining them for thanksgiving.

I usually add a little soy sauce & a little sesame oil. Sometimes I'll add an egg, some kind of meat, a slice of cheese, & a squeeze of lime.

I add egg too! I like when its poached and a little runny inside. Then some veggies...usually a leafy green kind but lettuce is my favorite. Then some leftover meat. Deli meats are super easy, cut up into pieces. Mmm.

I add an egg, too! BUT i scramble mine in a cup and then stir it in, so it gets stringy like egg drop soup. Sometimes i add rice, too, but then it ends up being too much food. Ramen+egg is where it's at. Ramen is my super lazy or sick meal. I can't bear to do too much work to actually eat it, lol.
oh gosh, the mayo, doritos, and cheese is grossing me out, though, lol. I love cheese, but I can't picture it together!

We add tofu, red peppers, extra veggie broth, garlic, scallions and chili oil to the oriental variety and call it dinner.

@mrbee: I think it is "poor people" or "trailer trash" food. But i don't judge, I once lived in a trailer for 2 months. Barf!

I like a fried egg and maybe veggies:) I want to try the rawish egg + processed cheese thing that my Korean friends do! Oh.. Spam is good, too.

If I have bean sprouts, I'll put that in my ramen. The egg sounds good, I'll have to try that.

@MungBean: @autumnlove: I know right! I am glad I'm not the only one dry heaving!

I like to add sweet soy sauce, sesame oil, an egg (straight into the pot when noodles are almost done), wakame/dried seaweed, and leftover veggies. If really hungry, I also like to add hot dogs and a slice of American cheese!

Oh man, I haven't had ramen forever...I might have to break into the bulk-sized pack I've been stashing away. But anyway, no, I don't add anything to it. I even drain most of the water out before adding the "seasoning" packet...

@anonysquire: haha, I guess it does sound like a lot.. but really everything is thrown into the pot as I wait anxiously for the noodles to finish cooking.
Starting to crave a bowl...

@petitstrawberry: I just wish I was a culinary genius. I just heat up water, add the noodles and add the flavor packt.
