I'm trying to get DH to stop checking scores and his fantasy sports teams at the dinner table!

You know what - we probably shouldn't. I think I will make more of an effort with this. I think I'm on my phone too much !

Ugh, I really need to stop this. I am so tied to my phone! If DH and I are out to eat, we're both guilty of browsing our phones while waiting for dinner.

That's a big BIG "no" at our house. No one is allowed. I've been limiting my own technology use even further, as well; I don't use my tablet/check phone/whatever unless Lorelei is napping or Mr. T is watching the kids. I find it's helped immensely! And I usually have more fun that way.

It is a big NO at my mom's house. I will enforce it with my own future children. It is a great way to bond (man, that sounds so cheesy but it is true) with your family. You might be chatting about mundane things but it is still nice.

Heck no. NO. We don't even enforce meals at the table all the time, by choice. So when we do, it's special. Exceptions for my husband's work, but no, nothing for pleasure.

No!! Once R eats with us the TV will be off too.

Nope! Also don't allow eating in front of the tv either.

Sometimes if something important is happening (like news from our family, waiting on an important phone call) then yes but typically no.

Dh has to have his phone nearby for work--if they call, or if something is going on, he has to answer. Other than that, no phones. We only eat in front of the tv on "special occasions" like movie night!

No way. I told dh that if he does it lo will think it's ok for her to do it when she's older. And since he's very against her using electronics at the table, he stopped right away.

DH and I both agreed on no phones or tablets during dinner. Those are some of the best conversations we have because it's undivided attention.

HUGE no for me. If we're going to sit down at the table or go out to a restaurant, it's family time and it's no phones allowed.
DH used to do it and it drove me crazy.
