This will be a major schedule for both myself and DH. We've been trying to eat earlier, but our dinner times always change with our daily happenings; I'm sure that will change once LO is here~

T is only 4.5 months and goes to bed at 7 or 7:30 - we finish cooling and eat right after he goes to bed. My husband usually doesn't get home until 630 at the earliest.

I think once LO is eating more table food, we will be making an effort to eat dinner together as a family, so around 6-9 months? Before that, I think I would prioritize an early bedtime over dinner together!

It depends on Husband's schedule - we'd love to eat dinner together as a family, but with school + work, he's usually not home until after she's in bed Once he's done with school and only working, we'll definitely have family dinners every night!

I have no idea. Half the week DH doesn't get home until after 9pm. Right now that's okay because LO is still really little and is more on our schedule (I usually start getting him ready to go down around 10 or 11pm so DH can spend a little bit of time with him). When he's older and is on an earlier schedule I might eat a little bit with him and then a little bit with DH when he gets home. On his earlier days and weekends we'll definitely eat together, though.
If he had a more traditional 9-5 schedule we'd definitely all eat together every night. The idea of nightly family dinners was always important to me...I'm still sad I've had to sacrifice them (even some of them) for his job, but this job is worth it.

We usually eat later, but today we ate together! Loved it

I'm a big fan of family dinners too!! But you're right, somtimes it does depend on schedules.
DH works three nights a week so I'm alone with DS those night. I will admit to not always eating dinner the nights DH works so then just DS eats.
During the weekend I always try to get dinner ready so we can eat as a family.

before LO came, we'd have dinner at 8pm since i worked late; but with her, I changed my schedule to come home earlier, so since she has been able to eat solid food and join us at in her high chair, we all have dinner together around 6:30p.
we enjoy having family meals together. it's something both DH and I had when we were kids, and something we want to continue to practice with our own family. it took a little adjusting though since DH and I both had to learn not to watch tv and look at our phones through dinner time too, and actually talk to each other! LOL.

we eat after bed time, but I know that once he's actually doing meals with solids, I'll eat with him. Sadly, DH will likely not be able to be home from work early enough most nights...

We used to eat with Wagon Jr. but now that we also have to put LMW to bed and my mom is here, we eat after bedtime. My mom cooks us dinner and finishes up cooking while we're putting our kids to bed, then as soon as we're done we all sit down to dinner.

The only time we eat together is when we eat out. My husband comes home way too late to wait for him to eat. Sometimes I'll eat with my oldest but it depends on if I've already cooked. Most times I just cook my toddler's meal separately and he doesn't eat what we eat most of the time b/c he's particular about meat. He's not a big meat eater and certain veggies. I try to make him eat what I make but it's hard sometimes. Occasionally, we'll eat together as a family over the weekend if we start early.
