We use Sonos in our home and sometimes I can see what DH has been playing over the weekend. It's totally different from my style so I always have to navigate back to my stuff! It surprises me because when we're in my car he always listens to my XM station (44, Hip Hop Nation) and I think he's memorizing all of the raunchy lines, but alone he listens to classic and alternative rock.
Do you and your DH have similar or different tastes in music?

We match up in most areas but I tend more toward the indie area, while makes fun of it. We both like classic rock, 80s, classic 90s, etc. He likes Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews Band, and Hootie and the Blowfish -- which I do not. I like the Smiths, the Cure, and Depeche Mode -- which he does not. I tend to be more experimental and want to find new music all the time, which he doesn't. It works, though.

Different. He likes skrillex, trance, lots of weird stuff I'd never heard of before meeting him. 
I like pop. lol.
We do both like rap though and we both like nickelback!

We have pretty similar taste in music. We both love the oldies, but also have a thing for country and hip hop/pop. He also enjoys those crazy rap songs that he can just act like a total goof ball and "sing" crazy and inappropriate words to. haha!

I like show tunes. So yes, we have a different taste in music. I don't expect him to like show tunes.

some similarities (classical, jazz, blues) but mostly different (DH-heavy metal, grunge) and me (country)

Different. I like Top 40 (because it is so catchy) and he likes Classic Rock and bands like The Who, The Doors, The Grateful Dead (are those classified as classic rock?). We do both like some of the oldies. I can enjoy some of his music if I can sing to it. He doesn't love mine but lets me listen to it when we're together in the car.

We match pretty well, I listen to Top 40 and Today's Country more than he does, he prefers more "red dirt" country and classic rock, which I love jsut as much. I will listen to everything, my station pre-sets are a mix of everything out there!
