The debate got me thinking about this. Luckily, DH and I are pretty much on the same page when it comes to politics. One of my good friends and her DH are pretty far apart on theirs, and I know it causes tension in their household around election time. I think it would be tough if we were on opposite ends of the spectrum. Do you and your DH share the same political views?

We don't agree on EVERYTHING, but we're very similar and our views are close together. If Hubs voted, we'd be voting for the same person.

We're pretty similar, although he's got much stronger views on government regulation than I do. I generally feel more strongly about social issues.

I have an American friend whose husband is British and he just moved to the States. She's very conservative and against national healthcare and I always wonder what he thinks about her stance, as he's from a country with national healthcare.

We're both non-partisan, and both currently agree on candidates for this election.
We don't always agree though. He tends to be more traditional and I'm typically more progressive. -
We voted for different candidates in the last presidential election. We both feel pretty similarly on most things, though. We're pretty rational about discussing things. It's okay not to agree on everything as long as you can respect the other person's opinion.

Hubs could not care less about politics, while I can be pretty passionate. It sometimes bothers me - I'd almost rather he disagree with me than not have an opinion.
