I've set up a wishlist for M on Amazon and am asking that my parents focus on her. I do have an external flash on my wishlist that I think would be a great addition, but I wouldn't mind if they ignored that and just bought her gifts/put money towards her college fund.

Nope. Lo actually doesn't need much right now. I wouldn't mind money for her savings.... but for the most part she has a ton of toys, clothes, and all the practical things that she needs. I think I'm always focusing on her and not buying myself things, so for the holidays id like to get something for once!

LO shouldn't be here before Christmas, but i can kinda see this happening in future years. this will probably be the last year that we really ask for things for ourselves!

My sister was talking about gift ideas for me (wasn't feeling her ideas) so I told her to just buy stuff off lo's wish list 
hahaa and I emailed the link to her.
I have everything I need or want.. But I'd love if the in laws got us another amazon gift card like they did last year!

If our parents would just take all the money they intend to spend on our little family and make a 529 contribution for LO my husband and I would be thrilled with that.

We are going to get much less for each other this year and focus on LO, she's only 2 months old but it's fun for us 
We decided this year since we now have a baby and Dh's brother has a baby, we will not exchange gifts among the adults, just the two little ones. Fine by me! Saves us a lot of money.
