Before my LO was here I thought it was silly to waste money on an outfit she would wear just once or twice. Now that she's here..... I just can't resist the special photo op! I don't spend a lot of money or I'll DIY a shirt or onesie for her.
I made a black and orange tutu for her to wear to the pumpkin patch and for a Halloween princess party, and I'm planning on making a Turkey onesie out of felt for Thanksgiving. Haven't figured out Chanukah yet though!

This Christmas is my DS's first, and I don't think I'm going to be able to resist a cute matching brother sister outfit. In a few years, I won't be able to be an outfit dictator, so I fully intend to spend silly money on this one outfit (well two in my case)!

I'll always get her something to wear for Halloween, Easter and Christmas. I think I have her family Christmas card dress picked out.. Just need to figure out what dh and I are gonna wear

He is only 7 months but I do like to set out a favourite outfit for special occasions....but not necessarily a holiday-related outfit. That's a great idea to DIY an outfit though. I will definitely start doing that!

@Mrs. Bee: my mom did this! we had a bigger age gap than your babes, so our pjs always coordinated instead of matching exactly. we got to open them and one other gift on Christmas Eve and it was always so exciting to open presents early.

Yeah, call me crazy but I am totally into the special outfits. I'm all over Mud Pie. I'm hoping to maybe sell them afterwards since they will be worn only a few times at most.

I am! Halloween will be her first holiday, so I have her costume (of course) and a long-sleeved onesie and a black tutu to wear at the pumpkin patch.

Thanksgiving, I'll prob just get her a bib or onesie.
I already have her Christmas dress (yay Costco!), and I can't wait to get her an ao dai for Tet/Lunar New Year!

Yup!! But only select holidays, like ones where the whole family is together. I bought him two easter outfits - it was bunny pajamas for night and a dress outfit for the day. He did wear it several times so that's good.
I didn't buy him a 4th of July outfit because I already had red/blue on hand.

I usually do a cute skirt and shirt for the holidays so they can wear the pieces at other times too. With DD #1 I dd the fancy dresses and it seemed like she only wore them 1-2 times. So no wwe do like a sparkly skirt and cute sweater/cardigan.

Yes, I do. So far we have dressed him for the 4th of July and Oktoberfest. He has a cow costume for Halloween. Here is B in his leiderhosen.
