I generally don't because I like clothes to fit. I will buy clothes that are bigger in the winter since the kids wear winter clothes longer, but in the summer I always buy clothes that fit since they can only wear warm clothes for about 4 months anyway.
Do you always size up or buy the size your LO fits in right now?

right now (infancy), he wears clothing for a good 3m (more sometimes) so I buy the right size. But, if he were to wear them for like 10 months or so....say a pair of jeans in size 24m, then yeah I might want them on the looser end and just cuff them until they fit.

i buy very few clothes for LO, but i typically buy them so they fit too. or close to it

Pants, sleepers & sweaters I actually buy 1 size down (3-6 months). T shirts & shorts 1 size up (9-12 months). They're long and a bit loose but he's not swimming in them.
It's also how the brand fits. I find George & gymboree to fit SUPER big, so I can get away with 3-6months. Old navy, Carter's & children's place I buy 9-12.

Depends... If she's at the tail end of a size, I'll buy it the next stage up to get most wear from it. Otherwise, I buy the stuff that fits just right. She's super petite as it is so I hate it when her clothes are too big on her!

It depends. I find pants to be the most difficult thing to get to fit correctly, but I've found with a combo of adjustable waist pants and a "belt" we can go a bit bigger and have the pants last the winter.
My son also wears a full size bigger on the bottom than the top, so I don't buy ahead any more. There are sales all the time, after a year of having to put away stuff that was never or barely worn, I learned my lesson!

I always buy and gifted a few sizes up, so I always have something that fits just right anyway. Right now, I'm looking at size 4T! She's not even 10 months yet. Someone stop me!!

I don't buy clothes for lo, she's usually in hand me downs. But I will put her in a size up so she will get more wear out of it.

I would say both. It is summer for 6 months and winter for 6 months so that has no effect. We are getting our second summer out of 9-12 month clothes and I suspect we will get a second winter out if 12-18 months. I usually just have two sizes out and mix and match.

Both, like you said it depends on the season. I really like clothes to fit though, I don't like DS to be swimming in clothes - I think it looks so messy!

Depending on the article of clothing, I may or may not size up. If it's a winter jacket that I'm about to spend a lot on, I'll size up and just roll the sleeves up until it fits properly. But, if it's t-shirts or pants, I usually buy their correct sizes. I do prefer them to have well fitted clothing, though. I just think it looks rather messy when their clothes are falling off.

It depends... I like to buy T-shirts, jackets, shorts/pants, and leggings one size up, but dresses and rompers I like to buy her normal size.

I used to, but now he doesn't grow as fast, and he wears out clothes. So, we buy on an as needed basis.

I buy her clothes to fit. She's quite petite so getting a size up would be tooooo big.
