Before we only used to celebrate the big ones. Now that we have kids, it feels like there is a holiday every month! Valentines, St. Patricks Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, July 4th... there really is one every month!
Which ones do you celebrate? Which ones are your favorite? (Halloween and Christmas for me!)

I always celebrated holidays. We have new years, Valentine's day, St Patty's day, Passover, high holy days, Purim, Chanukah, Halloween, Thanksgiving , etc. Of course it's more fun with lo.

We weren't big holiday celebrators except for Christmas. I LOVE Christmas. But with LO, maybe when she's older we can get into really celebrating different things.

LO's too young to celebrate the small holidays, but we'll definitely celebrate them all when she's older!

Easter is now like "Spring Christmas" in our household... We have definitely been celebrating all the holidays more since having kids. I love it, but it can be a lot of work... Fun though!!

Definitely. I am making a lot more effort towards holiday celebrations for the LO. It is really strange for me, though, since my family did not celebrate many holidays but I am slowly getting better at it. I don't want my LO to have the same deprived childhood I did!

Yes, definitely. My family hardly celebrated holidays (except for Thanksgiving and Christmas and sometimes Halloween). But now that LO has joined our family, I try to make each holiday something more special.
By the way, I am SO excited about Mother's Day in May! I told my DH that Mother's Day is the best holiday of the year (2nd to Christmas). Of course he disagreed and went into this speech about how Dads aren't appreciated enough. Ok whatevers. You didnt endure 9 months of pregnancy and push a baby out of your penis (or cut your stomach for a c-section) and then endure months of BFing, mastitis, no sleep. MOTHER"S DAY ALL THE WAY!

I don't think we did too much holiday celebration at home when I was a child...if I did anything it was school related, but that's because I have parents that grew up in another country and they didn't have all the Hallmark holidays we have in the US.
For now, there's no point in going all out for something like St. Patty's Day, but when my son is older, yes, I plan to do at least a little something fun.

We don't have LOs, but I am already getting into cute holiday stuff because I'm in the family mindset. Like for Easter, I made DH an Easter basket with all his favorite candy, because I can't do it for a LO! Baby fever is a nasty affliction.
