Happy dateaversary!
We don't celebrate either, but do mention it!

Yes, we always used to and will probably continue to do so even though we also have a wedding anniversary.
pineapple / 12802 posts
Yep, we do. I figure once we've been married longer than we dated I will retire the date-a-versary!
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
No, but our wedding anniversary is a few days after it.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@.twist.: bahahah we dated 6 months before getting engaged so we were only together 14 months before getting married
pomegranate / 3244 posts
Neither of us remembers the exact date, so we don't celebrate it, heh.
pineapple / 12802 posts
@Mrs. Pen: ahaha I guess that makes a bit of a difference! We dated for 3 years before we got married so I figure the 4th year of marriage we will only celebrate our marriage anniversary.
wonderful pea / 17279 posts
No. We met in early November, but I have no clue the exact date.
pomegranate / 3331 posts
Yup! Dh tries to use any excuse to celebrate with a nice dinner...dateaversary, engagementversary, you name it!
bananas / 9899 posts
We got engaged on our 3 year date-a-versary and then we got married exactly a year later on our 4 year date-a-versary. so... yes? haha!
nectarine / 2765 posts
Call us super unromantic but I couldn't tell you the date if my life depended on it. I do know it was the summer of '02. Heh

@pui: that's sooo cute!!!! :):)
@Pirouette: teehee. what a guy!

No neither of us remember when exactly our first date was. Happy dateversery!
blogger / pomegranate / 3300 posts
We don't really celebrate. We just do our wedding anniversary.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
We acknowledge it but don't celebrate it. It's easy to remember because we got engaged on that date a year later.

Awe, happy date-a-versary!
We don't celebrate either... but we do mention it to each other. Our 5 year date-a-versary was just last week. :))
bananas / 9229 posts
We acknowledge it but don't celebrate per se. It's only 2 weeks before our wedding anniversary though.

We started dating at our friends' Labor Day party, which we still go to every year. So we "celebrate" it at the party each year. (c:

@Mrs. Pen: ha, he just likes to go out for steak i think it's also easy to remember, because our first date, engagement and wedding were all on the same date in different months, so it's like every few months, time to celebrate!
nectarine / 2530 posts
My DH does, even though I keep on telling him he doesn't have to now that we're married. I always feel bad when he gets me a card and I don't have anything for him in return!
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
We don't celebrate it but do mention it. We figured out the date of our first kiss based on our passports-- it was the second day of spring break, so we realized we could figure out the exact date, like, 7 years later. This year was 10 years since our first kiss, and we were on vacation, so I'll call it celebrating. We never had a real dateaversary though-- we kind of went from friends, to friends who made out, to eventually bf/gf.

We didn't really have a first date. I guess we can celebrate the first time we met.
nectarine / 2771 posts
We only celebrate on milestone anniversaries - for example we hit 10 years of togetherness this past December and celebrated with...our baby shower! Otherwise, we'll just mention it.
nectarine / 2690 posts
Well, we just got married this past December. But our 10 dating anniversary is coming up in July, so yeah, I think we will probably celebrate it
nectarine / 2936 posts
My parents met on a minor holiday and always celebrated it for both reasons. My sister and I always enjoyed celebrating it and now hubs and I are continuing the tradition.

We celebrate it more than our wedding anniversary. But then again, it was pretty much love at first sight. By the time the wedding came along we were pregnant and already totally committed. (The wedding was more for my mother-in-law -- although ultimately it was a wonderful day as well)

We celebrate our dateversary and engageversary by acknowledging it but not doing anything super special like we do for our wedding anniversary or birthdays.
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
We sometimes acknowledge it, but don't celebrate. We didn't really when we were dating either... I guess we're not super sentimental!!
pomegranate / 3917 posts
Happy Date-a-versary!
Our first date was Valentine's Day, sooo we definitely celebrate it, kinda nice it's shared with something else, enough to acknowledge it, but not really celebrate it!

Happy Date-a-versary!
we just mention it...we just celebrated our 9 year Date-a-versary on March 6th...its fun to remember our first dates...
nectarine / 2063 posts
We use to celebrate it once a month when DH was a bar manager. It was more of a way to commit one night together each month. We worked opposite Shifts & he worked 80+/wk. Because its so close to vday & my birthday we acknowledge it now more then celebrate.
pomelo / 5257 posts
Definitely! It will be nine years this year, and we just got married this past September. I earned those nine years! We actually have TTC scheduled around our dateaversary
nectarine / 2127 posts
Our wedding anniversary is the day after our date-a-versary so we don't really celebrate or mention it since we celebrate the next day
Coming up on 5 years together, 2 married!
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
We don't usually, but we sort of did this year- LO was due the day before our 5th date-a-versary, and we spent that day in the hospital!
cherry / 163 posts
Yup! But only because we got married on our dating anniversary I always tease DH because he only has to remember one day!
